Clint Partie EABOD. I’ve been listening to the album while it was being made so for over a year. I don’t take the term lightly. I dare you to listen and say it isn’t one.
What’s EABOD? Oh, “eat a big ol dick” or somethin’ like that? Anyways, I haven’t checked it out yet, I’m sure it’s excellent, I like dude’s stuff, actually. There’s a lot of good stuff out though. I just have a different definition of “classic.” I have a lot of “personal” classics that I wouldn’t necessarily deem universal “hip-hop classics.” I just think it should be something that’s a little more in the public eye (something more than a few people actually hear) & also a bit time tested. I’m not saying it has to be mainstream or anything but I’m pretty sure if I go out to whatever hip-hop spot there is in my city tonight that I won’t hear ANYBODY talking about the new Versis album. Just sayin’. Also, I sure don’t appreciate the unabashed disrespect from a lot of you people when someone gives a descenting opinion. I’m a little older than most of you & I guess it’s a bit disturbing to me how people throw around all these “your a faggot,” & “loser” & “eat a dicks’” & whatnot. I feel what you are saying. The EABOD means eat a bag of doughnuts. It’s something a say shouldn’t have expected you to know what it was. I just feel if Bun B gets a “five mic” in the source that this album is much better is all. For me anything that is still holding my ear after a year of listening to tracks over and over and not one track gets skipped to this day is classic. It’s alright you will all be saying the same thing someday too.
