Kanye West – Power (Video) [Uncensored]

Slightly different zoom than the original. You also see a few shirtless women. Also, MTV has a cultural cheat sheet to help some of y’all understand what’s going on.

  1. I can hear the Illuminati conspiracy theorists already

  2. great fuckin’ video…

  3. Im expecting the comments section to be full of Illuminati/Freemason bullshit.
    Dope video though

  4. A quite exquisite visceral experience. Plus the upside down chick had one of the best racks ever created.

  5. Fuck Kanye, how bout that?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W-3cZAwY7M

  6. hahah @j.rob haha me 2 man its going to be alot of illmunatin subjects thats going to brought just because of this video

  7. yea i like both versions for different reasons
er..BEST VIDEO AWARD??…THE JOY AND IRONY OF THIS WINING AN AWARD HAHAHAH

  8. 2nd favorite artist DeadorAlive… Point blank

  9. and I was able to see more ov the picture in this one

  10. Wow I’m speechless…in the worst way possible…this isn’t hip hop, this isn’t art however it is a pathetic attempt at both…If you honestly enjoy this song much less this pseudo artistic “video” then you are not a hip hop fan, you actually are an obstacle in the way of true hip-hop and might as well just off yourself…and don’t even start with the conspiracy bullshit because this is nothing more than a laughable, ego maniac’s, self-stroking session. Good day

  11. ^^^ do u care to explain? break it down why this is not art? (personally i think the lyrics do need sum work) other than that i think its great.

  12. Love the video but if i were only doin 1 verse i wouldve did the last verse of this song to fit the image more.. 1st verse is filled with cheesy lines that kind os throws it off if u ask me.. still dope tho

    NEED BEATS????
    CLICK FOR BANGERS!–> http://www.soundclick.com/xProFilex

  13. no one man (god, jesus) should have all that power.

    That is all

  14. I agree that the last verse should have been the focus instead of the first…but to the dude who said this isnt hip hop, its not…its fucking music. We shouldn’t limit ourselves to just one genre. And also please tell me what “real hip-hop” is because a lot of you mo’ fuckers keep saying names and giving bullshit answers

The video is dope though, just use the last verse instead of the first verse

  15. I’ve studied roman and greek mythology… this is not the sword of damocles… cover ups are everywhere my people..

    That is all

  16. ^^^ do u even know what the sword of damocles is?? honestly
also Jey wat is it then?

  17. I’ve studied roman and greek mythology… this is not the sword of damocles… cover ups are everywhere my people..

    That is all

That is the sword of Damocles dumbass. where did you study? ITT Tech?

  18. Yeah well ask Mr. West that question and I’m sure he will tell you it is hip-hop…I agree we should not limit ourselves to just one genre, I myself listen to multiple genres including a lot of international music…Kanye was a true artist when the business corporate side of the music industry hadn’t violated his passion and drive. For those of you who are not informed about Human motivation then please take 10 minutes to watch this video and you will see how large amounts of money coupled with a materialistic society produces bullshit pseudo art under the cop out of “everything is art”…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6XAPnuFjJc

There is plenty of true untainted art and music out there today but do not expect to get it from your television or radio stations. If you still thing this is great and love Kanye even more, then I suggest you take a crash course in Classic Hip Hop History…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxFRunhkebU

    mtv gives the following answer

“Dragonlance: An image of a sword descending into a crown hovers over Kanye’s head, bringing to mind Volume Two of Douglas Niles’ series “The Crown and the Sword: The Rise of Solamnia,” in which Sir Jaymes Markham commands the orders of the Rose, Sword and Crown. “

  20. @JDubs

I see what you tryna do there, but you making anti-capitalist marxist-related movements look bad when you blend hip-hop in your post. because as soon as this word comes on you stop making sense

  21. @ Illuminati: I think that MTV link is riddled with mistakes, guesses and speculation masquerading as research.

  22. Take a step back and calm yourself, this is amazing compared to every other hip hop video playing on Mtv/Vh1/BET. Power is the Sistine Chapel in comparison to it’s contemporaries.
Maybe you don’t appreciate it, but to say that fans of this song/video stand in the way of true hip hop makes you sound like an arrogant asshole.
Listen man, true hip hop is gone (I don’t know what that is but if I had to guess it’d be Eric B & Rakim) the year is 2010, it’s not the 1980s anymore so wake up from your dream-state. Appreciate oldschool, newschool, underground, mainstream. It’s all music, it all has it’s place, and it all has value.

<<< CO SIGN IT WAS MTV GUESSING AT IT. INSTEAD ACTUALLY LISTEN N READ WAT THE DIRECOTR MARCO BRAMBILLA SAID ABOUT IT.!!

  24. im pretty sure this video is a snippet

  25. AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT SAW THAT THE REAL VIDEO IS OUT THE 10TH OF AUGUST?!?

  26. Where is Kratos? the God of War lol jk… idk wtf is going on the vid but it looks cool

  27. @illuminati

Im sorry you must have misunderstood, i am not trying to push an anti-capitalist agenda I’m just making the point that hip hop originated out of a culture that the white business world of the time did not consider economically viable, even went as low as calling it a “black only phase”…not only until artists were selling out venues across racial boundaries (Run DMC, Beastie Boyz, etc) did big business get invovled and boy did they bank off of it…and voila! turn on any “hip-hop” radio station today and thats the outcome of people who had no stake in the culture or art taking over…hip hop used to be the perfect forum for the voiceless to be heard and now it has been neatly packaged and sold as a superficial commodity.

  28. people please get off that bullshit and be happy for a hip hop (yes, HIP HOP) video that doesn’t show niggaz makin’ it rain in front of a car or pouring champagne on a bitch… would it be hip hop to you if he was doing that? would that make you feel better? all the conspiracy bullshit and overanayzing is tired and pathetic… best video i’ve seen a long time, even if it is only 90 seconds

  29. @Red

Of all the artists out there u choose to exert effort to defend you pick Kanye?!? Your defeatist attitude is even more disheartening, espcially from
an individual who admits that hip hop has gone downhill…so please get off this worthless fish dick loving ego maniac’s cock and go listen to real lyricism…Here are some suggestions Jay Electronica, Joell Ortiz, Immortal Technique, Crooked I, And if those few are wayy too over your head then u still got Curren$y, Wale, J cole, Yelawolf, Freddie Gibs and a few others who know how to balance the mainstream and their passion for lyrics! Next you are going to try and tell me Wayne,Gucci Mane, Wocka Flocka, and Lady GaGa all have their place and value!! Haha please, they just suceeded at decieving millions much like governments and terrorists groups alike do every year, its nothing new and it will end soon, trust me.

  30. its not a video. its a portrait.

  31. it is very good !!

  32. anyone got the video?

  33. If art is somebody’s creative expression, then theyre art isn’t tainted by greed or large amounts of money it just becomes part of the piece. The best thing about Kanye is that he doesn’t put out a facade. People think he says stupid shit or makes bad music but at least he doesn’t censor himself. Everything that comes from him truly comes from him, whether it be is enormous ego or a lust for wealth. In fact you can argue that it only makes is art that much better because he isn’t afraid to hide his flaws. It has been Kanye’s m.o. from the beginning he gives off a confidence but also talks about how he’s self conscious like in All Falls Down. Im not trying to act like hes a godsend or that hes the best artist ever but to say that what he does isn’t art is wrong.
And for the people who say he stands in the way of hip hop. Genre’s evolve and branch out artists shouldn’t be classified by genres because there very rarely is a genre that an artist perfectly fits into.

  34. why didnt they make more then one scene like that civilation piece that marco did, that joint had like 10 levels and it was like u were goin through the levels of hell or somethin. if kanye would have done somethin like that then he could have did the whole song and we wouldnt be lookin at the same picture the whole time.

guess the budget wasnt that big

  35. FUCK VIMEO AND THEIR PRIVATE BULLSHIT!

  36. 1st off, this would be a dope ass portrait 2 hang up in a house but not sumthin youd watch on tv lmao. nd the whole illumintai free mason theory is idiotic nd bs. in a way, i think the song not only symbolizes kanyes fall, but the fall of the power of the others nd how it is or it must come to an end. but thts just my 2 cents. the video wus a fail, but i think sum1 is gonna try nd make a better version wit a fan vid or sumthin. im cool wit the whole art take, but thts not visual enough 4 the people

  37. J dubs get off of your elitist high horse nobody gives a fuck!

    :)

  38. like the other one better but i enjoyed the boobies lol

  39. @ThatKidRawr

    agreed.

  40. I’m not sure if it’s the same edit that Shake originally posted, but I found this here: http://www.undergroundcharizma.com/2010/08/kanye-west-power-uncensoredvideo.html

  41. JDubs what made you assume that I don’t already listen to those artists? Seriously I’m offended, more so than I have ever been on this site. I mean really I’m bumping Camp Lo’s Uptown Saturday Night, I’m going to RTB for my 3rd year in a row, and my favorite CD of all time is Fashawn’s Boy Meets World. I listen to good, deeper hip hop, but Kanye West is still top 15 to me.

  42. dope

  43. I like the video.
Like where he is going with this.

  44. How do you watch the video :S

  45. @idris how do you watch it :S

  46. ok id like for all you mufukkas speakin of the illuminati to shutup. bashing artist. that you “think” have something to with it is dumb. if you aint doin shit about it then stfu. unless u out here killin illuminati members i dont wanna here shit from you.niggas killin niggas everyday. but yall wont stand up shoot at these world corrupting bastards. get real or get lost

  47. ahhh dont you just love reading ignorant comments.
