I definitely fool with this mixtape, and he continues to rep the DMV very well. He steps up his game in a lot of different areas, particularly story-telling. My favorite joint is “The Eyes of the Tiger” hands down. The dude literally talked to you as if Tiger Woods needed a translator to sift through all that nonsense he put out to pacify the media–only with a DMV accent lol! I also like the fact that he implemented a lot of the poetic/spoken word element that he really tapped into at the end of “Prescription” from Attention Deficit–especially on “The Ambitious Girl,” which might be my 2nd favorite joint on here. Loved a lot of what he was saying on “The MC,” “The Power,” “The Number Won (Competition),” and “The Soup”.
Now is it the Mixtape About Nothing? Not in my book, mainly because he doesn’t have enough BKS production. That MADE The Mixtape About Nothing so classic and thematic, and I think it also made his subject matter more diverse. For real, I liked Attention Deficit more. Nevertheless, it’s not a sequel that sucks by any means. It’s a dope mixtape and is worth waiting for the download for all those people complaining about Zshare. (Stop being PCers and get a Mac, doggonit LOL!!)
