T.Shirt – Cowboy in the Sun (Mixtape)

I’ll let the homie Paul Cantor (who played the roll of Executive Producer on this) speak…

T.Shirt’s music came to me from a very honest and pure place. From himself. No cosigns, no big name DJs hosting his mixtape, no notable producers, no guest MCs. But when I heard his voice, his flow, his passion, I was sold. He’s witty without predictability and alternative without cliche. Even still, he’s true school to the core- the kid’s got bars for days. Cowboy in the Sun is hip-hop. It’s rock. It’s soul. From barbecues to the beach to the project benches, it’s a portrait of an artist just trying to make it through another very long hot summer.

  1. Ill give it a listen

  2. Something about the description & title of the tape got me interested. I’ll check this.

  3. Hmmm sounds interesting..

  4. i think i might enjoy this one

  5. Is this any good? The description has me kinda interested.

  6. take the bowsses word for it, shits garbage

    dude is a clown

  7. Damn, He got an Alex Goose beat. :)

  8. Since he shows passion and has the audacity to actually hand to yourself I must listen.

  9. i might listen. but honestly…fool’s name is T.Shirt?

  10. I don’t think I can take anyone’s word who calls themselves “bowsses”.

  11. beats are nice.. but this guy is nothing special.

  12. Alex Goose is pretty notable for doing pretty much all of Dannys production.

  13. u know i think its fucking sad how fans and you prominent bloggers only give new artists a listen who have big name DJ’s and Co-signs, and producers a chance on these forums… Its like ya’ll are apart of the problem in hip-hop as if an unknown artist can’t be good cuz theyre unknown…. What if you tried more new artists and found some that blew you away before any BIG NAME artist/DJ found them… watch if this kid does something in the next year half of the skeptics will turn around and be like wow he’s incredible! programmed assess… u don’t even know if this kid’s music is dope and you still posted it…

  14. btw shake, roll =/= role fuckin idiot

  15. “its like ya’ll are apart of the problem in hip-hop as if an unknown artist can’t be good cuz theyre unknown…”

“u don’t even know if this kid’s music is dope and you still posted it…”

kinda disproves your point , no?

  16. Tho it seems that way, it actually makes my point… They posted the mixtape and they don’t even know who he is nor did they suggest a single track for the fans to reference… Instead, a paraphrase was used from Paul Cantor for the reason behind the post, and I peeped the tape… Beats are nice… Kid is an average rapper but since he now has a mixtape posted on 2DBZ, bet anything new he drops gets posted from here on out

  17. looks like a guy of jersey shore

but ill check him out before i judge

  18. no hatred. but this cover is HOMOsexual.

  19. Meh, mixtape is average. Nice production, forgettable lyrics…

  20. Not even average. The lyrics are really bad, the beats are average and his voice…man I would say that i wasted some time with this mixtape. Sorry.

  21. No stream… No download.

    Simple as that!

Tho i think above feedback would hold true for this shit

  22. I dont know what da fuck none of yall talkin bout on here anymore but all ya want is some new shit that you can bump without feeling guilty.

ya welcome, this nigga on fire. Ima figure out where he from and what tape this song is from and Ima have to ask 2dope to post this shit, cus yall running out of options.

  23. looks like t.shirt is doing his best “drizzy” rendition on the cover lol

  24. Is it me or is he trying to dress like Dreezy?

  25. to the cat who said that cover is “HOMOsexual”….I guess if you like the typical lame ass bad photoshopped low budge covers with big artist faces, diamonds and or flames, gothic whimsical scrolls and accents. LMAO My bad but gritted up scrolls and accents are not “HARD” their closet HOMO…fuckin brainwashed clown…

  26. For everyone on here poppin $#!t bout his mixtape and cover of it are just a loss cause…how many artist out there even attempt to get out of the box. Majority of artist are talkin the same mess and that’s wats making this game lame, talk bout real life not supposed “real rap”. My boy T.shirt has been working on his craft and making it work for him and that’s what separates him from the rest…and the drake comparison shouldn’t be even if they resemble one another or however u wanna link them…he’s been doin this before yall knew who drake was…step ur creativity up…

  27. Shirts pretty dope yall, him and Darvin Silva put out the tan faced children ep a few months ago.

  28. Decent tape. ‘My Geetar’ has a blakroc feel. ‘Downtown Love’ is also smooth as hell.

  29. FUCKIN IDIOTS.. Hes dope as shit. The artwork’s dope as shit. hes real as shit.
