@ Drew – if you knew anything about Gibbs, you’d know he’s not looking to be a superstar or an industry sucker. Who would want that anyway in this day and age of lames and fsns who think record sales define how good someone is? It also shows how much of a bitch you are to comment bout something you know nothing about. Gibbs grinds and gets love everywhere he goes even as a relative unknown.
Never heard of him until the XXL list, but since then I did my homework instead of all the pathetic people here finding anything to criticize about Gibbs. It’s impossible to “hate” on this guy without being completely dumb.
His delivery is the nicest in a while! He could rap about nothing and it would still be dope, yet he has real stories to tell (check “Rock Bottom”).
Since y’all talk about him not having appeal: he’s the only “gansta”, “tough” rapper who is really good at rapping. Others are too busy being “real”, they forget the realest thing is being talented to rap before opening their mouth. That’s Gibbs appeal.
