Wu-Tang vs. Boot Camp Clik

If you follow me on Twitter, you might recall me asking about this yesterday. Anyways, Sean Price hit me saying that he’s been in talks with with Ghost, Meth and Rae about a possible Wu-Tang x BCC album. Details are definitely in the development stages, so who knows who would actually be involved. But what are y’all thoughts on this? Some folks were saying it’s 15 years too late; while others are saying it would be the best thing ever. Now it’s time for the dopeboyz/girlz to weigh in.

Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin’ to fuck wit, Boot Camp Clik ain’t nothin’ to Wu Tang.

  1. Godsend if that happens. Even god wants hip hop saved.

  2. If only ODB were here to be apart of this… still a great idea.

  3. Holy fuck. This needs to happen.

  4. Would be crackk.

  5. please happen

  6. i mean id buy it but i cant say id care too much. it is quite late for this…

  7. U-N-I and Pac Div should do some shit like this…a Boot Camp/Wu collaboration wouldn’t get the deserved attention as it would if we were in the 90s

  8. FUCKIN’SICK!!!

  9. I think this would be fuckin ridiculous if it actually happen. Wu-tang still got it and i thik Sean P. is raw as fuck. This is one of the best ideas ive heard all year.

  10. it would be dope, and if its anything as good as that wu massacre/ob4cl2/monkey barz/casualties of war/etc then it should be tight. it would have been even tighter if it was 1997. i just don’t like the efforts made now a days to make these dope projects or collabos just for profit, it still produces good results but seems gimmicky

  11. If only you knew how many Wu Tang VS Boot Camp arguments I was in back in high school! Especially when Ironman dropped and OGC came out right along with it! Ahhh man! The glory days!

  12. Would be dope but I think they should have done this mad long ago. Either way I support the effort.

  13. whats the name of the track?

  14. Better late than never.

  15. Remember “Radiant Jewels”? Sean Price and Raekwon on the same song? Santo Dios!!! Im in on this project

  16. bcc and the wu are my bread and butter, personal golden era isht, but i’m worried about how they would approach the album. i don’t want theme to do the ghost/meth/rae thing and half-ass it with old verses and no actual collaboration.

  17. Probably Two of the best Super Crews in Hip Hop from the Golden Era.
All of the BCC Wu-Tang Collabs have always been on point.

  18. “whats the name of the track?”

    sean price – like you

  19. Jesus Price Supastar!! P!!
would buy it regardless! never too late!

  20. Since it wasn’t posted, here’s BMF by Lupe Fiasco

    http://www.mediafire.com/?v0ktsup29nsbdvz

  21. I’m an old head so I would like to hear it.Mad late tho…Now Im just waitin on a Dru Hill/ Jodeci super LP and I can die a happy man LOL!!!..

  22. Is that really a fair matchup? I always give BCC props but going against Wu-tang, they would have no chance. On a collab effort, it would be great but like people are saying it’s def 15 year too late

  23. Being a Brownsville native and a Boot Camp fanatic (since ’92 and “Who Got Tha Props”), this is long overdue. This needs to be a priority for both crews.

  24. They should release something every Tuesday for the rest of this year. >>>>>>>>>>>>> 2010 Hip Hop.

  25. god damn this would be nuts for hiphop. imagine every bcc and wu dude on one collective banger. it would be CRAZY.

  26. The whole Shaolin crew rapping over 9th Wonder/Illmind/Marco Polo beats ? hell no.

It’s at least 10 years late.

  27. Definitely 15 years too late, but it’d still be cool to hear. RZA and Da Beatminerz don’t produce the bangers they used to though…

  28. Beats… This will only not be a flop if the beats are on point. That means RZA needs to get on his 94/95/96 era criminology game and the beatminerz need free reign. End of story.

  29. This shit would be fuckin dope. P!!

  30. i like the quote

  31. classic argument right here.

  32. WU-TANG CLAN AINT NOTHIN TA FUCK WIT!!!!!!!

  33. This would be too dope. Im just gettin into BCC, and they’re ill as well

  34. “..If you follow me on Twitter..” ummm doesnt the right side of the page say “dont follow” next to your name? hmmm find that odd

  35. Id pay $100 for a copy of that CD

  36. PSYCHED!!! I’d love to hear this.

I know P! won’t rap over no bullshit beats, so… it’d be real ill!

  37. I would bust a fat nut if I saw that on the shelves

  38. Rhyme wise alone that would be STUPID ILL cause the reps both crews got would keep the internal competition vicious. Which = Incredible verses. Just get hungry hollow tip production ( holla at me lol ) and it’s a done deal.

  39. are you fucking kiddin me? if it happened in 92′ it would have been fucken obsceneleee dope as hell…now in 2010-2011..are you fucking kidding me son…it would be bananas..it would be like the fucken heart shockers on the hip hop is dead patient in the gurney….it would fucken be one of the dopest collabo’s of all time…

    word is bond..

    nyc stand up

    brownsville stand up

stat en’ stand the fuck up

    that nyc kid……

  40. the GOLDEN ERA of HIP HOP would be in 2.0……GOLDEN ERA WU BCC 2.0 status….d original heads world wide bcc til we Wwwwwwwww U……

    what’s the deal baby

  41. This would be a dream come true…I love both camps…Make that ish happen

  42. if it woulda happen back then.. R.I.P. OLD DIRT DOG.. it woulda been epic.. still would be a classic it’s like what rakim is to the mic… ya’ll please make this happen and represent the real hip hop!!!

  43. WTF, the posse cut would have to be 30 minutes long. Pass.

  44. sean price \ method man track …. yess

  45. this would have been classic in the mid to late 90s its too late now. wont hate if it happens though

  46. still the two most powerful crews, an album would truly be something monumental…

  47. Well why don’t we just do everything else we should’ve done in the ’90s? actually, why don’t Mike and Penny decide to come back, and play on the same team?

I mean, it would’ve been a good idea back in the 90′s… but now? really?

  48. C’YEAH!!! Mans been waiting for this since high school days! Never to late, but had it happened back in the days it would’ve been monumental and historic!!! now give me the paperwork, I CO-SIGN and will putthe money up to make this collab happen!

  49. This would be something to hear, especially if they approach it correctly. Motherfuckers nowadays so pessimistic – ain’t nothing too late for good music !! If you ain’t fucking with it, don’t be surprised when you lose out. Niggas looking for any reason NOT TO SUPPORT !!

  50. This would make a crazy video game…Street Fighter vs Tekken style lol

  51. Sounds wack to me. Boot Camp Clik are minuscule in importance compared to Wu-Tang.

  52. Are you kidding me people (rhetorical)?

Two of the 3 groups (Wu-Tang Clan, Boot Camp Clik & Mobb Deep) that dominated the 90′s eastcoast culture lifestyle-wise music-wise and what the eastcoast hip-hop was/is about join to make music together is a beautiful thing period!

Wu-Tang was obvious bigger than Boot Camp Clik but if you look back their influence on people musically and culture-wise was very, very similar. Just look at their fanbase and look at their videos as well. The represented the culture to the exact degree it was like in when they were popular.

    Great move!

  53. ^^^

By the way not record sales but similar fans and eastcoast gritty vibe!

  54. i tossed “gunz n onez” and “black trump” on the ipod this morning and they’re getting bumped all day long.

  55. Let’s make this happen!!!!!! Do feel it would be missing something because of ODB but I’m sure there are some verses that could be thrown in. For HIP-HOP this needs to happen. 2 of the best crews to do it.

  56. Not interested. Too many uninteresting rapperspeople to listen to. Anyway, this would do ZIP for hip-hop because “hip-hop,” in it’s current state, wouldn’t even pay attention.

  57. i dont think it seems gimicky…yes, they’re doing it for $$$ but, they’ll still put their heart into it, knowing the Wu and BCC. but, am i the only one who thinks the Wu-Tang aint the same w/o old dirt mcgirt? R.I.P. O.D.B.

  58. Definitely would be hot but would have to be a free project. Not sure how many people would run out to buy this one.

  59. Definitely would be dope as fuck. I’d cop that shit for sure. Gimmicky??? Don’t think so. They have collaborated in the past on some dope shit. They have similar styles. To hear Sean P on some classic RZA shit would be crazy. The only uncertainty would be whether or not they can mesh and actually come together on a full album without one crew dominating the sound too much. Radiant Jewels was a sick track, but can they do it throughout an entire album? I definitely support this project.. if it happens.

  60. there’s too many haters on this thread…. The M-Pire Strikez Back is my top 10 hip hop albums of all time..so ima def be checking for this..but uh Sean and company, can we get a Fab 5 album?? eh

  61. Oh this would bump so much issh out of the rotation. P!!! and Ghost get it right.

  62. whoa, wutang news is always the best!!!!

i love the idea completely, how could you not!?!?!?

    wutang forever =]

BCC is cool too.. sean p is the man

  63. Gimme a Sean P and Ghost album.

Masta Killa is the only other Wu-Tang member to drop an above-average solo album since the turn of the century. OB4CL2 was overrated, ODB R.I.P., GZA turned boring, RZA stay smoking crack and is a shade of his former self, Inspectah Deck never put out an LP that matched his talent, U-God been wack, Meth…well 4.21 is kinda dope I guess.

As for BCC well they done a lil better I guess. Buckshot and Smif-N-Wessun still cool, Rock bring that heat. Still tho a Ghost and Sean P album is a much better idea.

  64. Sean P and Rae FTW

  65. To those claiming BCC is IRRELEVANT choke on a fat one, cuz u have NO clue what true hip-hop is. BCC & Wu DOMINATED the 90′s. For them to collab is never too late, and I’m DEFINITELY buying a hard copy of that one, maybe 2 at FULL price. Last album I bought before Asher Roth’s first album was in the 90′s. It’s been so wack & oversaturated in the game for over a decade, I’m droolin over the release of this project.

  66. The two best rap crews hands down. I would be willing to throw away the entire south for BCC & Wu.

BCC catalogue = the database of music posted on 2dopeboyz

  67. WHOA, I think I prematurely ejaculated on myself *pause* ….. anyways if this would happen, it’ll be flame, you saw what Raekwon’s Cuban Linx II did for him and Wu-Tang joints don’t get pushed anymore, same goes for Boot Camp Click but they should do a battle rap on the album… We’ll see who wins!

  68. Anybody who thinks “15 years too late” is a fuckin’ hater.

  69. i needa download this shit. wheres the link!

  70. if this happens, i would officially be happy if they shut hip hop down for good afterward. this is a a 90s hip hop head’s wet dream. sean p over rza… ghost & rae over evil d… buckshot, ruste juxx, meth & gza on a track… throw duck down’s newest resident grimey beatmaker marco polo in the mix for a track or 2… good god, i feel light headed….

  71. …..and then go on tour!!!!

  72. i visualize this deal since 2001 bout bootcamp, mobbdeep, wutang equals B.M.W yunusa dorayi knows my suggestion coz i lied to em that the deal is just my thots since 2001 i made a perfect analysis
