  14. The Term “Drink the Kool-Aid” is a term referencing The Jonestown Massacre. The Jonestown suicide’s were led by a man named Jim Jones. No, not the rapper, but the person from which the rapper borrowed his name. Jim Jones, the leader of a popular cult, convinced everyone to kill themselves by drinking his poison kool-aid. So, drinking the kool-aid means that you are basically not in touch with reality and are capable of being led to do stupid things, such as suicide. It is not in reference to the racial stereotyping of black people drinking kool-aid, although he may be using that as a double meaning. IDK. Sorry to write so much, but sometimes you just have to elaborate.
