Now this is dope. During the Stupendous Adventures of Marco Polo beat showcase in Toronto; Marco Polo, Rich Kidd, Frank Dukes and MoSS were all given the same sample (Steve Davis’ All Because She’s Gone) to flip. Some of the older dopeboyz/girlz will recognize the sample from Gangstarr’s The Planet.

  23. Sampling is dope and all but I personally prefer in composing your own stuff. Maybe I just find sampling kind of tough and irritating, but I enjoy arranging my own stuff more. Marco Polo’s went the hardest probably, but I feel Rich Kidd had the dopest one.

  28. RichKidd’s joint was intricate and creative. So was Marco’s. But Marco’s had the energy you need for a battle. A producer always considers the circumstances and the objective before makin music for a particular occasion… THAT’S why Marco won.
