the concept:
DopeTales, our summer release is a themed sequel to last summers Jetsetter’s collection. It is a high-style modern interpretation of the late 80′s comic book series turned television show. In typical Dope Couture form we visualized each character in lifestyle situations with updated gear and a completely different perspective. This time around we produced designs completely absent of color for a more fashion noir approach.
Scrooge and Launchpad are geared towards the Sartorialist aesthetic. More sophisticated, refined, dapper and inline with the Americana movement. Launchpad’s stance conveys an air of confidence and demands attention. His fit is inspired by Burberry’s “Art of the Trench”. Scrooge is today’s version of a Wall Street tycoon. His fit is classic and something to be respected.
Huey, Dewey, and Louie are the bright side of street style fused with luxury clothing & accessories like a Vuitton Varsity and a Goyard backpack. The Beagle Boys are the darker side of the same style with a Margiela-inspired line-up fused with designer accessories from Lanvin to Louboutin. Gizmo, doesn’t stray too far from his original design as he represents all that is futuristic fashion. His Dior glasses set him off properly. Webbie is innocent, cultured in high fashion, and looking out as the good girl. Magica is a bad b!#ch in Balmain and DopeTales 4-finger rings.

I think that if the clothes that Dope Couture drops were a “06-2008,” trend you wouldn’t have artists that are “Now,” rocking them. Pretty sure I caught a concert where Jay-Z was rocking a Dope tee this last year, and I saw on twitter that Treysongs was rockin a Dope tee on some show on BET. But whatever, if you got wack taste you prolly aint gonna like fly clothes-especially if those close stay ahead of the curve. Just saying that I always catch these “leave a comment,” feeds all over the blogs with replies from anonymous people who from what I can tell sound like they got some personal biases. Again just saying.
Dope Couture is dope apparel. Anyone who disagrees can honestly keep their opinion because that just makes anyone who wears it look that much flyer. #hahadumbasses

What I wouldnt give to have a debate with you about this. You just say so many things that arrive from nowhere that Im quite positive Id have a fair shot.
