J. Cole – Premeditated Murder

I really can’t wait for this dude’s album. Based off the opinions from folks that have heard it, we’re in for something special. And I have no doubts about that.

  1. Nice I can’t wait for the album either

  2. So…I’m assuming this is on the album, or what?

  3. Pretty dope might I say. Is this on the album?.

  4. dope joint.. I’m thinkin it was a conceptual joint by the title, but still good.

  5. ya gotta agree _ real excited to see what this dude comes with_
in the meantime heres some new Mary J n K’Naan http://intelligentrebellion.org/arts/

  6. wow, this shit is dopeee

  7. hes rap-signing on the hook haha i like this man i like this alot “ITS JCOLE NIGGA” (JCOLE VOICE) LOL

  8. Awww, J. Cole. Always good.

    *click*

    *save*

  9. I pushed play and fell asleep. I woke up face down drooling on my keyboard. Booooooring.

  10. no its not on the album…its a throwaway song..and its DOPEEEEEEE

  11. He’s using that punchline flow Drake ran into the ground.

    J. Cole dope but hopefully the album is leaps beyond this.

  12. COLE WORLD NO BLANKET!

second verse was on that flex freestyle though.

  13. yeah hold the south down boy

  14. drake = j cole = same subject matter both are dope artist tho so ppl need to stop comparing the 2

  15. This dude is about to drop a classic. After seeing him tear down Wireless in London I gotta buy a copy of the album.

  16. That “much rooms, portabello” line killed me. Out of all of last year’s class, and I’m a big Cudi fan, I think this guy is the biggest talent.

  17. this track reminds me of the hood right before a hurricane.

  18. drake joked about the rap game not having another light skinned rapper/singer to compete with him…looks like j.cole is coming for his spot.

  19. dope

  20. Dope, j.cole should do well, but i know this nigga is doing 60k tops first week. *shrugs* he’s good though.

  21. JCOLE
    BIG SEAN
    XV

    Got next!

  22. @Sandman *sigh* typical Wack Flocko fan -__-.. songs are better then fags yell over it and talk about bullshit… anyways J.Cole and Jay Elect saving south hip hop

  23. alright there is a great difference in quality between

“and your city faded off the brown, Nino” where ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THE WORD BROWN COULDA WORKED.

    and

“and now the crib got much rooms (mushrooms), portabello”

where theres word play (much rooms / mushrooms) that lead a dope punchline and an actual coherent truncated similie

also the origin, or at least what made it popular was that song supa dupa where Big Sean used it as a concept for an entire song, like how many loose associations can i string together. using it all the time with no conceptual context is just wack. and that’s what a lot of people have been doing.

  24. TOKS.. spoke the truth.. J.Cole XV Sean Wale Cudi etc. they are gonna be doing big things for the game in the future,

  25. ^ Maddix said J cole and and drake have the same subject matter, huh, what u listening to the beats?

  26. Does anyone know if this is an album cut?

  27. INSANE! I’ll be copping the album straight. Think he produced this too.

  28. ^^^^ its a throwaway song..didnt make the album

  29. im a huge j cole fan but i wasnt really feeling this one. its kind of boring

  30. This is definitely album material, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if it was a leftover.

    http://clintbeefman.wordpress.com

  31. @determination why he gotta be a waka floka fan cuz he not feeling j cole and ironically waka is one of the biggest names in southern hip hop but on some real shit i know a lot of ppl agree with me when i say that sometimes you wanna hear something different from an artist most j cole joints are slowed tempo witha dark stuglle like mood and hence a lil boring and that isnt for every one thats why im a fan of his lyrics and not his beats and this sound is nothing new most of yall are main stream hip hop fans trying to embrace something new listen to some underground hip hop or abstract hip hop and you will see that this is nothing new dont dick ride some one because thier doing what many underground artist are doing but on a main stream scale

P.s. thats just my opinion j.cole is a talent tho

  32. its not all that its alright j cole still dope tho

  33. it’s almost like j. cole is commenting on the use of the truncated similie thing. like IT doesn’t suck. people just suck at using it. like kanye with 808s and Heartbreak or Ryan Leslie on that Gibberish track. Autotune, isn’t wack if you’re not wack at using it.

  34. @757rep i meant drake has the same subject matter in every song and so does j cole listen to the music and no tthe hype!

  35. Dope!

  36. “So if it comes down to may the best man win, no sweat like a headband then nigga”

  37. p.s guys its OKAY TO LIKE WAKA. or gucci. and still think nas is the best rapper ever. people listen to different kind of music for different feelings and moods. it’s not always about good or bad. it can be about enjoyable or not. some of the best lyrical mc’s ever are boring as shit. i wont bump them at a party but i’ll sit in my room and disect the lyrics every once in a while.

there is no one singular acceptable use of hip hop. take it for what it is.

  38. @timmy how u kno this is throwaway?

and cot damn, this dude’s album’s is gonna b a serious problem. like i said last yr, his album, of all the new cats, will b the closest we’re gonna get to a reasonable doubt type classic feel (not subject wise tho, just quality/timeless feel)

  39. great song

  40. Love this.

  41. Drake>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>J Cole

  42. J. Cole>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Drake

  43. never rly gave dude ah chanec thought he was another drake clone.. but this songs dope tho…

  44. Drake>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>J Cole

  45. J.Cole >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Drake.
    True.

  46. dude is gonna be a legend, and his album is gonna be a classic

  47. I like J. Cole and Drake. is that a sin?

  48. heard some of his lines on the Westwood Freestyle

    still dope as fuck though

  49. even white women want a nigga…othello

    oh snap

  50. Aubrey Graham>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jermaine Cole.
    True.

  51. Even the white girls want a black nigga haha Othello

  52. Cole world niggas.

  53. I dig this song overall. I think it could have been better if they had someone else sing the hook. Either get someone with a really r&b smooth voice, or add some interesting contrast with a voice like Colin Munroe.

Maybe they already tried it and it didn’t work so that’s why it’s a throwaway. But that beat is nice. J.Cole handled it well imo.

  54. J. Cole ftw..

  55. This cut’s cool. Not album worthy but a cool joint to just kick back to.

  56. What kind of Garbage is this?

    Paris Morton Music>>>>>>>>>>>Premeditated Murder

  57. Man if this did not make the album cut…imagine his songs that made the albumm….whoooo!!! WHOT DAT!!! WHO DAT!!!!

  58. Co-Sign Semi-Cartermatic dis is ass. J. Cole will sell 10k

  59. Aubrey Graham>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jermaine Cole.
    True.

  62. this dude is somethin amazing.

  63. Fuck Drake stans, this shit is amazing.

  64. how about that new lupe CD?????

  65. J. Cole>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Drake

  66. J. Cole>>>

  67. Regardless of the Drake comparisons, the reason why Cole fans might get so mad is that you ignore that he actually has skills. You claim that he sucks and is average, but simply admit that the man has talent. Only when making extreme statements like he has no skills or he simply ‘sucks’ is when you get the J. Cole fans going for your jugular. Do you realize that Drake himself has said on numerous occasions that J. Cole is his hardest competitionout? Have you also not realized that Drake has also said himself that he has to improve his rap skills and that he doesn’t see himself anywhere near the plateau of great that everyone else sees him at? Now, if an artist himself is able to accept the fact that he still needs works lyrics wise and so forth that allows us to put Cole over him without even showing our bias. One thing you will find is that Cole is associated more with fans of Talib, KRS, and other emcees in that category. Maybe that shows a little something

  68. This is outrageous, Aubrey Graham possess the talent to verbally rape Jermaine Cole and rap circles around that ugly ass nigga.

  69. Drake, “I sit you ass down like you was playin’ the cello”!

Cole gonna blow up this fall, BOOM!

  70. No cozerrrr you are lame. Shut the fuck up.

  71. A Lump of Coal (J. Cole)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>A Male Duck (Drake)
    Word…

  72. STFU bout Drake and JCole man .. both dope artists.. but I say I relate more to Drake’s lyrics and that’s why people love him.

  73. It’s not about Cole vs. Drake. I like em both to be honest. Just wait till Cole has some success though, I guarantee half you niggas here riding his dick won’t be feeling him because he “sold out” or his “style changed”… smh

  74. Don’t be a douchebag and post false statements like the above. Men with no life these days.

Damn. Got me there with that comment. And “FredBootyLozano?” Genius, man.

  75. J. Cole – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=515L4YuVPGY

    Drake – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0vXpZcm70s

There you go ladies and gentleman.

  76. j.cole “pre-meditated” = drake “the calm” or “the resistance” but j.cole did it harder/realer

  77. good to see people on j coles side although i feel as though i cant compare him and drake . theyre completely different Cole will always have more substance than drake period. but that doesnt mean drake is wack. hes still dope. cole spits his shit effortlessly and i swear it comes more natural period. if you dont agree with that then yall dont know what youre talking about haha . for the sake of music everyone stay uppp

  78. Song is just an average J Cole song. He’s got much better songs than this. This probably won’t make the album. I heard Higher on the radio a few days back so I think that J Cole will start to appeal to the masses. I got a feeling his album will be a classic.

  79. i got this song on repeat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  80. You guys are all idiots caught up in Drake’s asshole. Why does it even matter what Drake does? First off, if any of you are going to talk about J. Cole bringing the south back, you need to recognize that B.o.B is way ahead of the game in doing that. I was very impressed by the production on this, I didn’t really know J. Cole had that in him. I think this is one of the better J. Cole tracks I’ve heard. I just can’t believe no one has mentioned B.o.B yet in this thread. He’s done more than any of this newer class. He has the largest resume. He has done over 100 songs. He has spit some very lyrical verses. He has had some of the dopest flows. He has had some of the catchiest hooks. He has had some of the sickest production, most of the best stuff being produced by himself. People hate on B.o.B because of his new CD, but all his music history in general is far ahead of the new class. And I love most of the new class.

  81. john legend on the hook please…or tune that shit up bro..nice record.

  82. “even white women want a nigga – Othello” that’s nicer than the Mushroom line, but of you probably don’t even know that reference.
    J. Cole’s College Education >>>> Drake.

  83. And @OutofHand. That doesn’t prove anything. Last year Drake was doing big performances and B.o.B was doing side performances at the BET awards and ESPYs. This year, people like J. Cole and Laws are getting the sideshows at the BET awards and ESPYs. And B.o.B got a performance with Eminem this year. I guarantee you, next year, J. Cole will get a huge performance opportunity with Jay-Z or someone, and then the next up will get the side performances. It’s all about timing and opportunities. You really think they’re going to let J. Cole get the main stage before he drops his first album?

  84. Degrassi>>>>>>>>>>>J. Cole’s career

Dead serious this nigga J. Cole is dead ass. Drake is number 1 J.Cole is dead last.

  85. Yo J.Cole is about to have one of the biggest albums of this year. And quite possibly the biggest debut album since possible Lupe’s first album. I mean if your a HipHop head you cant sleep on this dude. You cant bullshit on him. You cant lie and say Drake and J.Cole are the same cause they are no where the same. Im a Day 1 Drake and I’ll tell you Drake has no where the depth or intelligence as J.Cole.

So give J.Cole his Props. He is the dopest Mainstream Emcee out today. Point Blank Period. This is undeniable. He shits on everybody out today. Cause nobody is keepin it as real as he is and still sell. He has put 100% in everything he’s done.

So shame on all you so called Hip-Hop Purists (or whatever the fuck you like to call yourselves) talking all that shit about Hip-Hop Dying and here you have someone that meets all your requirements and at his worst is at least reminiscent of an average emcee of the 90′s, which by todays standards is better than 95% of anybody who gets radio play.

Stop being a Hater and give Cole his Props. He deserves it, we deserve.

  86. the second verse is from his Tim Westwood freestyle..

  87. Shit’s butta…fuckin fire. Nuff Said

  88. http://www.theleakingfaucet.blogspot.com

  89. J. Cole’s Upcoming Album>>>>>>>>>>>Drake’s Career

Dead serious this nigga Drake is dead ass. J. Cole is number 1 in the future, while Drake is dead last in a couple of years.

    Fall Back Haters!

  90. The fact is, someone could spit the dopest verse ever over mainstream beats, and it’s already dumbed down in everyone’s eyes. I personally get tired of all the lyricists spitting over those played out oldschool sounding beats. That’s why I liked a lot of Recovery, because it was real mainstream production, but still some sick verses from Eminem.

  91. All you stans need to give it a rest. Look at what 2dopeboyz has turned into.

  92. @b_lett
Drake has done near 100 songs, is lyrical and talented, and has definitely lived up to the hype he had. He has had the second biggest CD this year next to a legend, Eminem.
If you don’t think that Drake can hang with J. Cole then you’re ignorant.
Go listen to Paris Morton Music, 9AM in Dallas, or You Know You Know and tell me this dude isn’t talented.

  93. people dont realize j cole produces his own music when comparing him to other artist. if illmatic had a kid wit college dropout it would be coles album

  94. wait…there are people who think j. cole isnt talented? you don’t have to like him, but you gotta admit the dude is talented. for example, i think lebron is a bitch ass but i can admit hes unbelievable.

  95. Rickeazy!!! I think me and you are the only true J. Cole fans here cause I noticed that recycle line too!!! Good shit but song is chill. Only reason why J. Cole will not be bigger than Drake is his fan appeal. Drake has teenagers and a bunch of lil boys that have every song on repeat but just like lil wayne Drake’s mixtapes > retail album SMH!!! J. Cole is just raw and appeals to some lyrical-liking Hip-hop fans! Something kids could care less of no a days!

  96. Drake’s BET Performance>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>J. Cole’s Career

Dead serious turn on your radio, sirius.

  97. I wouldn’t compare Drake to J. Cole. I never was. I was calling all you out for comparing J. Cole to Drake. If you’re going to compare Drake to someone, compare him to CuDi or B.o.B. And album sales don’t mean anything. Drake has also got an extraordinary amount of hype, from who knows where. Skill wise, I think B.o.B is at the top. He falls comfortably into any genre, his production is crisp, his live performances are amazing since he brings out a live band, and almost all of his songs have good messages behind them. I like Drake too, and I’ve heard his album multiple times. I’m sorry, but even though B.o.B’s album turned out really pop, it was more hip hop than Thank Me Later. Drake’s album was pretty much RnB, which he does well. I just don’t see why everyone is comparing Drake to J. Cole. They are completely different. B.o.B isn’t Andre 3000. Drake isn’t Lil Wayne. Asher Roth and Yelawolf aren’t Eminem. Kid CuDi isn’t Kanye. J. Cole isn’t Drake. Has anyone heard rock? It’s all guitar, bass and drums, and sounds very similar. Can anyone not appreciate how different almost every hip hop song sounds?

  98. stop comparing drake & j. cole. there styles are too different. drake being doing that rnb rap shit. cole on the underground lyrical rap shit.

  99. J cole has a way of rapping that makes me not wanna care about shit he says, the only verse i liked from this kid was on Star is Born from BP3

    Drake > J Cole
to anybody that doubts just look at the fan bases of both there is a reason why Drake is more widely received and more successful, not saying he aint talented tho if he put more life into his flow more ppl would pay attention. Same goes for Drake haters honestly u dont gotta like it or w.e jus respect that the dude doin his thing

  100. Drake’s BET Performance>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>J. Cole’s Career

Dead serious turn on your radio, sirius.

    J. Cole>>>

  101. and why are haters so caught up in saying Drake is unintelligent? Thats just ignorant honestly wow aint even worth it

  102. I not listenting to it yet because its probable on the album and I hope its’ not but I will if its a single and of course J.COLE that dude NC to Philly 2!5

  103. By the look of the title I thought this was gonna be a story telling track. Still good though.

  104. turn on the radio???????
    nigga is you 12
    stop comparing them
    j-cole-mc
    drake-rapper

yall goin in wit the comparisons just quit there both dope..

  105. I not listenting to it yet because its probable on the album and I hope its’ not but I will if its a single and of course J.COLE that dude. NC to Philly 2!5

  106. Love Cole, but this song is boring.

  107. Drakes’ Album was a story from start to finish.
J.COLE Album will be classic fuck a 5* 11 out of 10 star

  108. Idk why people compare so much i like both of them drakes cool but j.cole is easily on another level than him

  109. Let me break it down for you J.Cole stans.

    Toronto>>>>>>>>>Fayetville

    Young Money>>>>>>Roc Nation

    So Far Gone>>>>>>>The Come Up

    Drake BET Performance>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>J. Cole BET ” ”

You get the picture. Drake >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> J. Cole

  110. Nigga! Nigga! Nigga!
Big ups to J. Cole. Go far.

  111. I fucking love drake. i really do. but, in terms of pure rapping ability and skill, J COLE destroys Drake. come on now.

  112. Drake cant freestyle J.Cole can

  113. Let me break it down for you Drake stans.

    Cleveland >>>>>>>>> Toronto

    G.O.O.D. Music >>>>>>> Young Money

Man on The Moon>>>>>>> Thank Me Later

    Cudi’s tour >>>>>>>> Drakes tour

  117. definitely copping the j cole album, dude deserves mad support

  118. LMAO @ the young hip hop fans in 2010. So if I find this song boring I’m a Waka fan? FOH.

Alright, I’ll settle this. In the grand scheme of things, J.Cole & Drake both just ok at best. I won’t buy any of their albums, ever. If so-called hip hop fans say they’re the best of the new hip hop crowd, then hip hop is dead. Everyone, their dog, and their dog’s friends are rappers these days. The more new ‘hip hop’ I hear, the better the already-better hip hop from the past sounds. Did that go over ya heads?

Neither will go down in history as a legend in the game.

  119. Dope track, but pretty sure it’s not the album tho.

    Why does everyone compare them…..?
There is not alot similar between J. Cole & Drizzy. Like seriously other than then the fact they light skin & have a relationship which Jay-Z. And they are both back-pack rappers (J.Cole graduated College & Drizzy is self-proclaimed). Other than that they’re music is different. Drake is more pop/mainstream rap & underground & storytelling. I like them both and I hope J.Cole blow up & Drizzy remains consistent.

  120. rap is a science for that nigga.

  121. Interested in hearing the album, will support for the heck of it

  122. ATL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> most any city in hip hop right now
    B.o.B’s flow >>>>>>>> most any rapper’s flow
    (B.o.B’s production == Kid Cudi’s production) >>> the rest
    B.o.B’s messages >>>>>>> the rest
    B.o.B’s creativity >>>>>> the rest

In conclusion, Tech N9ne is still the best rapper alive.

  123. Sick shit as usual. Can’t wait for the album.

  124. J.Cole keeps bringing dopeness! his album is going to be great, no doubt!

  125. And what’s with the comparisons, this is a J. Cole post…

  126. LEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    http://usershare.net/33uchn6hq6hs

  127. j. cole nice but are yall out yall mind comparing him 2 drake?? what has j. cole done exactly 2 be comparin him 2 drake??…drake has made it big in music business and now his up there with the eminem’s and the jay z’s and the kanye’s. and 2 make it in dis music business u must put up records that are mainstream and not just some underground music like what j cole has done …let him drop his album first before u even try 2 compare him 2 the hiphop heavy weight drake

  128. I hate how yall compare drake to J cole Drake sings to girls and J cole puts meaning and his soul into his lyrics no hate J cole is way better than drake this song is dope

  129. J. Cole!!!!!!!! Here to save hip hop along with Lupe!! Stop the comparisons! And @b_lett get off B.o.B’s nuts, you’re embarassing yourself

  130. LEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  131. No one gives a shit if you’re not gonna buy their albums? Alright? I don’t see why you even bothered posting in here. You didn’t settle shit. Listen to and support what you like (its a fucking $10 album, can you not afford that??)
And yes, J cole’s debut album has the potential to be a classic.

  132. I’m just making fun of everyone and posting parodies of their posts. And at the end of my post, I said Tech N9ne is the best anyways. Screw this thread.

  133. woooww

  134. ok sorry but i have to say this at least once a day somewhere online: FUCK DRAKE!!!! im glad everyone agrees, j cole is fursure on the come up and will save my ears

    lol thanks

  137. My nigga Ib in the back!!!!!!!!!!!!

  138. Its somethin about J.Cole. He knows how to marry his particular flow with perfectly compatible beats. I agree with the masses above me, I can’t wait for the album!!!! Peace

  139. if this is a throw away track his album gon b serious. fact.

  140. steady supporting Cole

  141. I hoping this song makes the album. I mean come on this is too dope to not make the it.

  142. wheres that hatin ass nigga NYC/BROOKLYN at????

  143. uhhh……….I have a confession to make guys……I…..I like Drake AND J. Cole……….is that bad?

  144. J.Cole can keep rhyming for “the heads” (whoever they are) but he needs some commercial hits before Hov drops him.

  145. boy i swear this dude couldnt make a bad track if he tried, this dude is tha best out PERIOD

  146. yeah wheres NYC/BROOKLYN? i need a good laugh

  147. J. Cole is gonna be huge. BET has him featured on Music Matters, and he even performed at the BET Awards.
    http://www.bet.com/MusicMatters/music_musicmatters_jcole.htm?playlist=jcole
    I can’t wait for the album… 10/26

  148. Haters gonna hate. Can’t wait for the album. This will be something near a classic while Thank Me Later will be out of people’s mixes within the next year. Cole isn’t going to need everyone and their momma to hop on his album with a verse to have a good product.

  149. i love how people keep rootin for cudi …give it up and as far as drake cats really need to stop acting dude can’t spit whereas j.cole has sharp punchlines drake drops gems so they both play their respective lane as far as drake not having bars “…and that’s around the time that your idol/ becomes your rival/ you make friends with mike but gotta A.I.’em for your survival/” #GEM!!

  150. @olugbam: you are one of the 0,01% people who make sense on this c-section!

There’s no comparison between J. Cole and Drake. For example, take this song: you can’t say J. Cole sings better than Drake… because Drake doesn’t sing! He uses autotune (and can’t sing his own songs live, which is sad!). What J. Cole did here though was human: you could feel the emotion behind it!

It’s funny someone called the hook “rap-singing”. I mean, wasn’t that just plain singing (and a damn good job at it)?! Rappers are insecure about having good vocals in rap, so even the fans can’t recognize singing when they hear it.

  151. “yeah wheres NYC/BROOKLYN? i need a good laugh”

Yeee, been waiting for his story about how he’ll fail somehow.

  152. why does everyone try to draw a comparison between drake and cole? They’re both dope at what they do. Drake will probably move more units but Cole will be a more solid emcee based off his subject matter and lack of club bangers

  153. Lupe/Nas/Jay Elect/Mos Def and Talib= Best out
Members of All City Chess Club/Fashawn/Mickey Factz and Nero= Future

  154. “why does everyone try to draw a comparison between drake and cole? They’re both dope at what they do” 2 reasons..1, mainstream hating Drake fans seem to think of J. Cole as the anti-drake, so they go out of their way to make it known they believe he’s nicer. 2) insecure Drake fans try to counter the love J. Cole gets by drawing up comparisons, and trying to belittle ever move he makes. At the end of the day, they’ve both shown eachother love. The Innanets needs to chill with these fan-made beefs.

  155. ^^^ ****I meant to say mainstream hating J. Cole fans, but you still get my poin

  156. What’s with all this stupid hyped up for A. Hole? I mean geez. and I thought Flake was all overhyped…but this is just pathetic. All you A. Hole dickridders must be the same folks who only listens to “Real” music and don’t even have the urge to check how terrible his flow and lyrics are. Once his album drops, Jay-Z will see how terrible he is as an artist and realize his mistake of choosing A. Hole as his first artist. His album will flop, A. Hole will have no record labels to support him and he will just be another nobody who never gets to accomplish as a full-time “rapper”. Hell, he’s not even a great producer, and who the fuck told him to sing with that horrific voice of his? He makes Kid Cootie sound like Prince.
So fuck outta here with that Bullshit A. Hole! You’re a nobody! And you better get ready to work at the UPS cause one day…YOU will FAIL!

  157. ^^^^^^^^^ what took you so long???
lol I know you never disappoint, always on J. Cole’s pubic hair

  158. Drake > J. Cole
    J. Cole > Drake

    fuck all that bullshit..

    Drake = J. Cole

  159. This is dope but kinda boring at the same time. I think some features would make it more interesting.

  160. but I do agree that Paris Morton > Premeditated Murder, two totally different kinds of songs though.

  161. every one draws comparison to drake and j cole because it is hip hop a very competitive genre ppl wanna see who will sell more who can rap better and even who gets more hoes as long as a genre is deeply intertwined with sports as hip hop is and with the male demographic there will be comparisons this is what makes the genre so interesting rap battles dj battles etc so get with it get over it and get used to it human nature or better yet male nature!

p.s. music is art and art is subjected some could very easily throw soldier boy in the conversation and they would neither be wrong nor right

  162. @Teddy, fasho bro

that shit true about comparing drake and cole, cuz they 2 different types of artists.

  163. Drake > J.Cole at rapping about living a lavish lifestyle (i.e. Paris Morton)

J.Cole > Drake at rapping about everything else (i.e. every other song he made)

Just my opinion, don’t hate me, because I like both of them. However, Drake’s debut was a real disappointment. I’m thinking Cole’s won’t be a let down though.

  164. @Maddix…I agree with you
Here’s a pretty good song too featuring Drake..

    http://usershare.net/33uchn6hq6hs

  165. Oh yeah…CHUUUUCHHH!

  168. i still can’t get past the fact dude sounds like a 2nd rate kanye with no passion for what he is doing.

  169. compsring Drske to J Cole
is like comparing Carmelo to Lebron

    we all know Bron better…

  170. I mean cmon, lyrically, Cole shits on Drake, like he’s leaps and bounds ahead of dude..not to mention drake sounds the same of every damn song

Drake spitting weak ass played out similies and metaphors

Cole does it better and fresher, along with a stronger, adaptable flow and wordplay..

  171. ^^^ hi drake hater

  172. why does j.cole keep teasing us? i’m more excited for this album than to watch the Miami Heat this year

  173. SKOODA CHOSE>>>>J COLE>>>DRAKE do ur research folks that chitown boy a lyrical monster

  174. See what that one guy did?? Instead of “J. Cole,” he wrote “A. Hole.” I get it! Writing it 7 times was even better though

  175. Lmaooooo @ the amount of ” greater than’ signs used in this post
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>

    Ole “>” useing ass niggas

  176. does anyone else have trouble playing these sometimes……

  177. Fuck this either or shit. What’s the problem with being a fan of both? Both of Paris Morton Music and Premeditated Murder are smooth.

  178. this is cold. can’t wait for this cat to drop an lp.

  179. lol Drake has a larger fan base because of lil wayne… all wayne heads love drake. drake sings therefore the females love him. drake was on degrassi so degrassi fans love him…. fan base has nothing to do with who’s better than who. J. Cole has more substance and is lyrically killing Drake but, anyone disagree? I’ll wait… Lyrically J. Cole>>>>>>>> Drake. MAinstream music wise Drake>>>>>> J.Cole

  180. Not really feeling this beat, but NO I.D. do be killing it, and I know Cole killed some them Warm Up beats like Lights Please & Grown Simba. The lyrics are real dope though, Cole the truth, and his album is a sure-cop this year

  181. “honestly?” <<I agree!!

  182. “Drake has a larger fan base because of lil wayne” sooooo the fact that cole is on jay’s team doesn’t mean shit? maybe drake’s fan base is big because he’s good? all y’all stans need to quit dick riding and/or defending your boyfriends by dissing others in the industry… cole AND drake are dope, what a strange concept right?

  183. him going platinum.. nope. going gold.. nope.
    -
why the fuck it keeps saying i’m posting comments too quick. i just came onto this website!!!

  184. j.cole should no longer be allowed to get near a mic. him and drake need to work there asses to the nearest homeless shelter and develop some hunger. they both always come off as lazy in every song.

  185. First time playing this dude. very impressed . song is great, deep and sets a certain mood. Also just checked his video “who dat”. One of the sickest songs/videos i have seen in a long time in mainstream. BTW j.cole ! fuck drake from a new fan

  186. so far his first 2 throwaway songs from the album are better than anything that has come out this year. fact.

our generations illmatic is coming soon. just wait.

  187. C’mon yall stop with all this drake/j.cole shit! They both are dope! As far as this song goes it’s tight as shit! I don’t understand how some of these idiots on here can say that j cole is wack!!! I can understand you having your opinion on who’s better out of the two but to just say he’s wack???? In fucking sane!

    CAROLINA STAND UP!!!!

  188. I’m a real hiphop fan BECAUSE i dont compare and bicker over FREEEEEEEE MUSIC….I LOVE LOVE LOVE wut J.Cole n Drizzy Drake are doin for the game equallly, and I’m gettin both they albums…..Paris Morton Music>…<Premeditated Murder.

  189. amazing,ok

  190. He comin for Drake Spot!

  191. same sht he said on the tim westwood freestyle but it still go hard

  192. How you going to be mad at Drake for playing the game better than J. Cole?

    As of today,

Drake is the new Jay-Z while J. Cole is the new Nas.

Either way I’m reaping the benefits.

    Clap for them

  193. Im not gonna get into all this Drake vs Cole bullshit I fck with both of them HEAVY. All I gotta say is that Cole gonna shut it down when he drop.

& Big Sean gonna sneak by & surprise the fck outta everybody with NO hype when he drop… that’s real.

  194. Drake >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> J. Cole.

  195. Smh at the prick named James above… Drake is not the new Jay… Drake has no substance money hoes clothes… Sad… Failed tv star… Sad… And at the fool up top for makin reference to 9am in dallas, paris morton music and you know you know… All cuts never on his album why didn’t he deliver for his album… Get off his nuts… Cole however gets no love despite dropping a verse on bp3 that was iller than your grand mothers cancer and yet u still can’t fux with it… Sad… Cole renegaded wale on his own shit and u can’t give him any credit smh… People in this c section who ignorantly comment probably still have a curfew and listen to hanna montana… So stfu and start listenin to some real shit music… Cole hasn’t disappointed and all those who can’t realise that fall one braincell short of absolute zero… ‘Finger fuck whoever hated!’

  196. first off, that fake nigga who posted up there using my name is a herb. I guess you’re one of them niggaz dealing with identity crisis. but anywayz, this nigga A. Hole is fuckin losing his balance in the game. is this hypocritical half man/half ass singing on the hook? I almost spitted out my 40oz all over my computer when I heard that shit. this nigga A. Hole done lost his mind. this song is all over the place with his weak lyrics. are you serious? “If I could gift wrap the globe, I will give you the world to you”. that some grade school greeting card e-shit that can be found on every young girl myspace page. I was over at the chinese take out and while I was waiting for my order, I seen a cockroach laying on his back with its legs swinging back and forth. at first I was like, what the fuck? I was gonna tip over that little bastard so he can escape, but it was too late, chinese lady came outta nowhere with a split toe sandal and splatted that nigga straight to roach heaven. I turned around and got the fuck out of there, thinking back, I don’t even fuckin’ know if it was because I could of saved little homie or I just didn’t trust eating from that place anymore. which brings me right now here listening to this BS A. Hole shit guzzling a few 40oz before I go to sleep. A. HOLE YOU WILL FAIL…LIKE THAT ROACH FROM EARLIER TODAY!

  197. Slept on the Warm up for a min, then one day i put it on and it was a rap. Cole has lyrics…BUT thats where it stops! I burned out that tape after a month and it is now hard to put it on and enjoy it. Drake So far gone never got slept on, was on blast for months and i can still listen to it without getting bored.

    9am in Dallas> Who Dat
    Paris Morton> Premeditated murder

“You want the truth, pull the zipper down and see (Wayne) no homo tho”

    Also,
    Wale>Cudi
    Diggy>Cudi
    Country music>Cudi

  198. if drake has no substance than no one has substance

What kind of critique is that anyways?

Everything has substance even if it’s bottom line is having a good time.

    J. Cole fans like pretend he’s some other level but they rapping about the same shit. Difference is Drake played the game smoother and communicates more effectively than J. Cole has.

    Who dat? Who dat?
Dat nigga ain’t getting no radio play.

That’s not even hate. It’s a fact. Just look at they positions they’re in.
On that note i’m looking forward to the album, hell to both they albums.

  199. North Carolina is barely the south, thats why he signed onto Roc Nation and is influenced by NY hip hop like Jay and Nas. I Live in Atlanta and we do listen to Waka and Gucci, but thats mostly because of all the free shit they put out Brooke niggas in the struggle aint got time to use there laptop and find out shit about other artists, its just easier to take the shit given to you by the so icey street team, and before it was gucci and his crew it was Jeezy and wayne when you give out that much free shit you are accepted by the hood and thats where the popularity comes from no one expects it to be good but its free. Jermaine > Drake there not the same at all J.cole is aggressive and drake is passive thats the difference.
Ps. Don’t no body listen to OJ

  200. Theres pleanty of good southern artists Yelawolf, B.o.B, Jay Elect, Currency, Big Krit, Donnis Quest, Novel, Laws Pill and J. Cole. Thoose are just ones Coming up now too so its coming

  202. why cant people just stfu and listen to music anymore…internet lets everybody have an opinion….some ppl’s opinion doesnt need to be heard…

  203. ^contradicting

  204. just to cosign thomas, i live in north atlanta.. no one listen to oj, nobody.

  205. jcole- who dat is the only song good

  206. i take that back, theres prolly 4 niggas listening to him right now. only reason he ever got heard cus he was on a song with gucci when gucci was taking shit over. aint heard a song by him since.

cant wait to hear this cole album.

  207. Ok, so it’s one’s opinion to think whether J. Cole is better than Drake and
vice versa, BUT it’s completely illegitimate to call Drake better than J.
Cole because of their current levels of success. They aren’t even in the
same bubble career-wise, if you niggas really wanna compare the two so damn
    much, here I got you:

    J. Cole is in his early ‘So Far Gone’ stage right now – building an
underground and slightly mainstream following. The only difference is Wayne
probably put in a bunch of payola (google it if you’re unfamiliar) for Drake
on ‘Best I Ever Had’ and Jay-Z didn’t care so much to do it for ‘Lights
    Please’ or ‘Who Dat’.

However, he is getting a bunch of spins via Miguel, therefore, all the lil’
teenage females who LOVE Miguel’s song are googling J. Cole to see who ‘that
rapper is on the Miguel song’. All these lil niggas are gonna see is the
fact that he did a song with Jay-Z/on his record label (which is a co-sign
of sorts) and they’re gonna assume, “Oh, he must be good if he’s on a record
label with JAY-Z!” That’s how lil shallow ass nigggas work nowadays, but at
least their assumption won’t be false.

PLUS y’all niggas realize KANYE GOT NO BOOST FROM JAY?!?! Kanye did all
those fuckin’ beats for Jay, BP 1 & 2, and since College Dropout was coming
out a lil’ after BP 2, Jay gave him the guest slot on ‘The Bounce’. Mind
you, ‘The Bounce’ wasn’t even a single (equivalent to ‘A Star Is Born’.
Kanye worked his ass off ever since, got a legitimate underground feel with
a mainstream crowd and he’s way more respected than… Wayne (as a
MUSICIAN/ARTIST), even with his bitch fits.

Point being, give J. Cole a chance before you compare him to Drake whose in
a different stage in his career.

Side note: You ever realize how Drake seems to be out to do what J. Cole
does… J. Cole made it clear for A LONG TIME that his debut wasn’t having
too many features and that he respects Andre 3k (which is clear through his
sampled line on ‘Who Dat’ – “who else wanna fuck with hollywood cole”; oh
yeah didn’t Drake start some freestyle the same way recently w/ Tim Westwood…? is he listenin to J. Cole on the low?)

  208. “”^contradicting”

  209. !! SPOILER!!:

NO ONE WILL Remeber JCOLE or DRAKE NEXT YEAR

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  210. I don’t know why every everyone is using Drake as J. Coles comparison. To me we should compare him with the College Dropout Kanye, Black Milk and other rapper/producers.

This song is fucking dope and the production gives it that 90s feel in some way

  211. for anybody confused as to whether or not j. cole is the truth or whether or not he DWARFS DRAKE IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY… plz refer to Dead Presidents II, all your questions will be answered

J.Cole….dont ever doubt yourself…do whats in your heart to do…the torch is your to carry next.

  222. im curious…who does NYC/BROOKLYN even like????? lol

  223. I think the song is good, the beat is also good. don’t really care for ppl who can’t mention the actual song….rather than mentioning something very irrelevant, like comparing j.Cole to other rappers. If it wasn’t for this site I probably wouldn’t have heard some of these talented rappers. Album is gonna be fire!

  224. its almost quite sad people dont realize jcole is just a internet rapper tats gona be forgotten when the next internet rapper comes along

  225. Yall all gay, specially the Drake heads. I mean forreal forreal, HOMIES, is YALL GAY!?!!?

  226. 1Dopeguy, you need to go fly off a roof holding a bag of cement. I already caught on your dumbass and you know what I’m talking about. for people asking me who I listen to, I rock to real MC shit. that Rakim shit, Big Daddy Kane shit, Kool G Rap shit, Nas shit, that WU shit. the only nigga right now that comes correct in delivering consistent lyrical content is my nigga Sean P. and P’s been in the game for decades now, but he’s holdin’ down in his solo projects. big ups to all the whole DUCK DOWN crew! Brooklyn stand the fuck up! all this other carnival cotton candy BS like Flake, A. Hole, B.o.B, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco and so on and so on garbage rappers can fly off the roof holding a bag of cement with you 1Dopeguy. I’m all about lyrics when it comes down to giving props to MCs. that nigga A. Hole is nowhere near in comparisons in anyone I listed debut albums. and yall niggaz know it, which is why the only argument yall wet dreams have is comparing A. Hole to Flake. can’t believe yall niggaz even have the audacity to compare him to the all-time greats. sometimes when I come across this site, it seems I’ve entered A. Hole’s wet dream of fans. yall need to come down from them clouds and listen to some boom bap shit. yall niggaz jeans is so fuckin’ tight right now that it has yall brains without oxygen. I’m here with my iphone and my girl’s bitch ass french poodles at memorial playground in Brownsville if any of yall niggaz wanna talk some real hip hop shit. and by the way…where is my bitch and my 40oz? I sent her ass 20 mins ago to the bodega and I’m here with this NY heat thirsty as hell holding on to some french poodles. A. Hole YOU WILL FAIL!

  227. this this nigga just write a book.. calm down

  228. nyc/brooklyn still in the early 90s.
come join the rest of us in 2010 because in this time period Cole is the only thing worth listening to unless Godson does an all Premier or Dr.Dre cd.

this nigga said sean P. hahahahaha

  229. Smh at the nigga sayin j.cole the new nas
Fashawn would b a better comparison to nas
    j.cole still dope tho

  230. i love j cole threads cuz its funny how theres always tons of posts with either too much love or too much hate… IDK how any of yous could call him wack or the GOAT cuz hes obviously neither…

  231. @ NYC/BROOKLYN lol! u a funny ass nigga!

  232. All these fvcking paragraphs, shut the fuhk up @ the end of the day, night, whichever way you SLICE IT ..J.Cole > Drake, now shuddup & listen fools. Multies, Punches, Rhyme Patterns, + Cole making his own beats > Drakes SIMPLE PUNCHLINE FLOW & his corny singing. Nuff said ..

  233. Hope you guys don’t mind me posting this but I could really do with some help right now.

I’m conducting a survey for part of my marketing research for my clothing label and your help would be greatly appreciated. 237. I’m tellin you guys! The album title will be called: DREAMVILLE

  238. This dude is dying on the track ? sure sounds like it…. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  239. man j. cole is a great artist and when i met him at the A3C fest homie was a real down to earth dude. basically he real. his lyrics is real. and im fuckin w/ this cat. when the album drops im coppin no questions.

  240. @ NYC/BROOKLYN

The boom bap era is over bruh, it ain’t coming back. Now, if you wanna listen to mid-90s hip hop all day long, fine, nothing wrong with that….but why waste your time trying to convince people to do the same? We like J. Cole’s music. Period. You’re not going to change that, just like we aren’t going to make you like J. Cole. Just listen to the music you like, and we’ll listen to the music we like.

  241. song is insane…if the album is anything like this its gonna be one of the best weve heard ina long time…

    j. cole already said in an interview that the title was not going to be The Blow Up or Cole World…he said it himself…

  242. don’t give me that shit about the boom bap era isn’t coming back, I could of told you that years ago. niggaz on here askin’ who I listened to, and I answered back. I don’t give a flying fuck what you and anyone else listens to. my point is, niggaz is going pink thong crazy throwing around A. Hole is in the same class and realm of rippin’ MICS as some of those MC’s of that era. I think it’s insulting and embarrassing how MC’s back then had to earn a spot and pay dues before this “internet easy promotional myspace music emcees” came along. to each his own, but I will make it a mission from God (Rakim Allah) to come on here and express my views and opinions on the blasphemy that has been stricken by the tight jeans era. I’m not bitter or upset or MAD! if anyone wanna debate in what makes A. Hole the best thing since slice bread, let’s get this back and forth keyboard talk going and keep it 100. right now I’m headed out to the hospital, because my girls Aunt stepped on some rusty nail when she walked inside a crackhouse in the Bronx. that bitch has no medicare, and now I have to go out and find me some crutches. thanks God for them Dominican bodegas that be selling them for $9.99 a crutch. at the end of the day, A. Hole is over-rated. his wet dream fans are delusional and uneducated in this thing called hip hop. like KRS 1 said, RAP IS SOMETHING YOU DO, HIP HOP IS SOMETHING YOU LIVE. and on that note…A. HOLE YOU WILL FAIL!

  243. ^^^Who’s putting J. Cole in the same class as Rakim, KRS, Nas, Biggie, Wu-Tang, etc? Who? Nobody is saying that shit dude. You’re just mad that J. Cole is getting more hype and attention than you’re favorite rappers. That’s all there is to it bruh. Maybe you don’t realize it, but that’s what is it

  244. @ nyc/brooklyn all i said was for you to hop off and stop hating something which you havent done nigga if u dont like j cole or any other artist stfu n dont tell me i shld take my own advice beacuse tahts not the point i never said anything about j cole just stfu and dont hate nigga u ALREADY failed and j cole is only succeeding is that why u mad?

  245. He is the future. J Cole is the hottest brother in the game right now. You all are in store for a treat, he is one of the greatest lyricist and writers that will ever step into the game. TRUST ME…

  246. NYC/BROOKLYN, you say some funny shit! this is entertaining.

  247. LMAOOOO @ Semi-Cartermatic UP TOP .

How U Cosign Your Own Comment ?
Did U Try To Change Ur Name And Cosign Yourself Like A Lame ?

Anyways … Song Is DOPEEEE .

  248. Big Sean did NOT make the punchline flow rappers like drake or j.cole used on this. it was KANYE WEST. hear good life…. “and she got that ass i got to look, sorry”.

  249. you know what? I’m too fuckin’ tired right now to respond to the accusations left by J. Rob and big dope (1Dopeguy). I’m gonna get at yall niggaz tomorrow. my whole day was about french poodles, rusty nails and crutches. my girl’s aunt right foot is fucked up. SMH, can’t believe she talked the doctors into putting her foot in a cast. the bitch even asked for a fuckin wheelchair, acting like Obama medicare plan was in effect. this is the last shit I’m gonna do for my girl. chillin with some french poodles in Brownsville is on thing, but buying crutches for some crackhead who thought it was cool to wear a pair of UGGs in a 100 degree weather, so she can walk inside a crackhouse, and get poked by a rusty nail…that’s where I draw the line. this bitch is crying and screaming on the train all the way home, talking about she’s gonna need a lawyer for the nigga who left the rusty nail in the crackhouse. I’m out $20 for the crutches spend the whole day with some bitch ass french poodles and a crackhead who probably has more sense than half these niggaz out here arguing about A. Hole, and yall want me to respond to the BS. I can’t do it, no fuckin way. not tonight. I don’t even have the energy to open a 40oz and drown myself with all this drama. but I do have the energy to say this…… A. HOLE YOU WILL FAIL!

  250. Why everybody so heated. It’s hip hop listen and like what u want. Half of ya’ll don’t buy shit anyway.

  251. WOW. Cant say this aint the shit.

  252. Y’all be eating my words soon enough.

    J. Cole is going to follow Nas’s path and release dope but ultimately not high selling albums while Drake will be like Jay-Z releasing dope but high selling albums.

Elitists will say J. Cole is on some other shit and don’t understand what’s special about Drake just like they do with Nas and Jay.

    It’s all been written mutherfucka.

  253. j. cole – jay-z
    drake – lil wayne
    cudi – kanye
    b.o.b. – t.i

  254. James knows exactly what he’s talking about… these guys aint goin away anytime soon so get used to em

  255. Paris Morton Music > Premeditated Murder

  256. I don’t even like to acknowledge this argument but it is unreal how many people compare J. Cole and Drake. Whoever thinks Drake is anywhere near Cole’s level is a bozo. Drake’s a joke. Plain and simple.

  259. yall need to stop wit the J Cole is the new Nas and Drake is the new Jay-Z. they are not the same.

Nas was more famous and had more hits then Jay in the mid 90s, Jay blew up wit his 3rd album in 98. and Drake is not gonna be on top of his game when he is 40 im sorry. so those comparisons need to stop!

  261. lool that tracklist is beyond fake. We already know that monster features rick ross and thats my bitch feat q-tip.

  262. Cosign Teddy. And WOW… Almost 300 comments. I don’t ever remember seeing Drizzy with that. I fucks with Drake, but Cole is on another level. REAL TALK.

  263. this song is beyond dope jcole=greatness

  264. damn dis shiiiiiit is fiyaaaa!!!!! go cole. hopefully this niga can fuck the game up rite quick.

  265. PLEASE HAVE ATLEAST 1 or 2 features on your album J. Cole!

  266. dang he steppin up his production can’t wait for jcole to drop his album

  267. I gotta say this record really should be a wake up call for niggaz rappin and rhymin on bullshit beats with emo lyrics!I say this because J Cole is a FUCKIN PROBLEM for new Emcees. If people wanna compare Drake and J Cole, cool just remember this record when you try to say Drizzy is better and more lyrical! Cole is by far more Lyrically capable.Period

  268. Can someone reupload this?

  269. this shit is SO flames. i played it like 10 times straight. whoever said that Cole is great matching his flow and voice to the perfect beat was on point. I think it has a lot to do with the fact he’s producing his own shit (and hes gettin damn good too). Plus he has lyrics to go with such great sounding music, its jus dope. His joints have such a great feeling to them, I jus vibe with his music. Highly anticipatin the album

  270. Thank you all for the comments as I have spent the last 2 hours at work reading every single one LOL. Before I leave work I’d like to say that I think the best part about this song is the hook. I love how Cole sings it, its real genuine even if it is off key. I hope to hear more hooks like that from him. Looks like this dudes got a bright future and regardless of the comparisons and criticism, I’m coping this upcoming album. And HUGE shoutout to NYC/BROOKLYN. Lmao the entire c section was waiting on dude’s comment. Had us a fiending so badly an imposter had to step up!

  271. re-up link please?
