As a premier ‘stan’ … Im disappointed how hard it is to buy those Premier shirts he wears at his shows …
DJ Premier as a producer definitely > anyone else in the game past or present. HOWEVER….DJ Premier as a DJ….holy hell, his live sets sucks. I remember when he filled in for DJ AM with Jazzy Jeff after AM passed, at Rain in Vegas. He’s so horrible. Someone disagree with me? If so ur obviously a Premo stan, and have no knowledge or respect of the DJing culture. His song selection is on point for the most part, but skill wise he is pretty average. He gets by on namesake alone. There’s a few bootleggs of him doing sets around the country, and its just awful. Go ahead n listen, n tell me im wrong. The set he did with Jeff is on youtube….check it out for further proof.
