If you follow me on Twitter, you’d see that I’ve been banging Ev’s solo debut The Weatherman LP quite a bit as of late. And while we wait for Cats & Dogs (shouts to all my RSE fam) I figured I would shed some light on my favorite track from the 2007 release. A song that was constructed after coming out of the depression that hit when he lost his mother (which was spoke on I Still Love You). Video after the jump as well.

i don’t skip one track off of the weatherman lp and it gets bumped constantly. thats how a hiphop album should sound like.
Yea, this song was dope but “Letyourselfgo” will always top my list. “Mr. Slow Flow” was RIDICULOUS, “All Said & Done”, “Hot & Cold”…the whole album is awesome.

no offense to ev… but alchemist is nicer on the mic and the beats…
I still bump this track in my car. This track is the best on that album imo. One of my favorite ALC beats. Can’t wait to see what he has on Cats and Dogs. That album def made me pay attention to Ev more.

Yea man the album was dope. I bought it too. For some reason I lost the damn thing. I keep my shit in a certain place and the one time I took my shit with me on the road with my family I didnt just loose The Weatherman LP. I also managed to lose, Gnarls Barkely’s St. Elsewhere, and my little cousin stole my Kanye West Graduation album because he liked the damn album art (He was little so he didnt even listen to it, he just looked at the album art.) I was pissed.
Luckily I still have Big L albums. But whats fucked up is my Lifestylez album credits thing some how got suck together so I cant open it because it will rip just like my ATCQ Midnight Marauders album.

Evidence is 1 of the two Emcees of Dilated Peoples. You have probabaly heard of them. If not, do your HOMEWORK! I love Ev’s shit. I totally disagree with the alchemist comment as well. Alc is crazy on the beats, but his rapping is mediocre IMO. I really like this video, got it on my droid.

yeah – the lp got seriously slept on. letyourselfgo is one of my favourite beats ever. i don’t know why… something about it makes the hairs on my neck stand up. i was disappointed at first that phonte was just doing the hook, but his verse on the remix more than made up for that! letyourselfgo and line of scrimmage – that’s my shit!
i must say this after reading all the comments, EVIDENCE IS EVERYWHERE is the most underrated joint off the album, only problem is that it was too short but that shit takes me to clouds after listenin to it buzz’d off good weed, but agreed this was my favorite album of 07 and in my top 10 EVER!!!, Layover EP was crazy too and tracks from both get play’d on a regular, i had to go all the way from birmingham to london to get my copy of The Weatherman (i knew nothin of paypal at the time), great post, if Cats & Dogs lives upto the hype it’ll be on some next level shit, any release or new info on that?
