This shit was smooth, just finished listening to it. ESPECIALLY the production. Man did he go in behind the boards on this one.
If you have the ear he wants his listeners to have, you’ll catch him sampling songs you should easily recognize, but then also sample the song that THAT song sampled into the beat. Incredible laceage. And as usual his verses are on point. Love the concept as usual.
He even had the balls to sample part of Briana’s (mary j’s step-daughter) ‘poem’ right before she socked him in ‘The Last Slice’ towards the end while he’s sampling Drake’s ‘Best I Ever Had’ and fading into ‘Falling In Love’ by Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds (the sample for ‘Best I Ever Had’)
He picked a good project to put out after the 4 month drought from Binge 3, and as you can see on the blog, he still has much left in his hand. Things are looking bright for CH.
But I’ll sit back and allow the hate to ensue.
