In these dark times, songs made with light and happiness do not always seem relevant, as it was when Killah Priest wrote this epic story from the point of view of Lucifer. Lucifer who was God’s brightest angel, who God had made in charge of all music, would later rebel against God. Jealous of God’s love for humans, Lucifer would end up leading revolt against God and the other angels. The war in heaven would see Lucifer and his band of rebel angel’s fall from God’s grace. This knowledge we have from the New Testament however not once is Lucifer mentioned in the Old Testament. In fact some theologians believe that Lucifer was an early creation of the Catholic Church to be the bogeymen and foil for all goodness in the world. Killah Priest who is both spiritual and worldly has written a sinister verse, drenched in disdain and vengeance from Lucifer’s perspective. Sabac Red adds a sense of urgency to the song with his verse referencing Armageddon and the rise of the Beast. Lastly Ill Bill pens a verse about Lucifer manifesting in modern times as a skilled assassin working for government agencies or is he controlling them?In the end it is always up to the listener to decide what to believe, whom to believe and how this song relates to the dark world all around us.

Satin is in fact real basically controlling the earth an although he cant read are minds he can hear what we say and can see what we do. The Catholic church did not create satin and it is well known just read the bible that jesus was the first angel god created and god’s 1st son who helped god form earth. Lucifer also said in the bible was a very beautiful angel that turned his back on god and revolted, and the truth is satin is controlling the world politics/government how do I know? Because it clearly states in the bible that satin tried to persuade jesus into turning his back on god in exchange for jesus becoming a king in which he refused for the love of his father. Just my 2 cents.

wow…Satan in Hebrew means adversary, so when Satan is mentioned in the Old Testament its not necessarily Lucifer the fallen angel(who eventually takes that name), its anyone who challenges God (such as the snake in the garden who challenges God’s authority and gives the fruit to Eve, or the adversary who questions Job’s faith), its used numerously in different situations. Satan and Lucifer became interchangeable in the New Testament, so Satan used as a name for Lucifer isn’t in the Old testament, but the name Satan is. also, its not even clear if the term Lucifer in Isaiah even refers to the same Lucifer of the New Testament, shit has to be read in context not in a randomly googled passages pulled out of the text to stand on its own

By rising triumphantly on the third day, He conquered death; and thus paved the way to everlasting life. Now, we are healed by His stripes; and have access to The Father, but only through the Blood of the Son. NO OTHER WAY. Listen guys, oh how I wish all would REPENT and turn to YAHSHUA (CHRIST JESUS), and put all their trust in Him. Because His Second Coming is soooooooo near – nearer than you think – and when He returns there are no second chances. The first time He came into the world as a Lamb, but the second time, He will come with POWER and GREAT GLORY like a Lion, with WRATH. It’s simple, repent and confess JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR and be delivered from the WRATH that is to come; or, continue buying into the devil and his lies, conforming to the world (lust, murder, lies, sexual immorality; etc.) and join the one who is the author of such evil (satan) in the lake of fire for ETERNITY. Who will you choose? The One who leads to LIFE (JESUS) – or the one (small one) who leads to death (Satan)?
Remember, Satan isn’t lord; he’s trying to be lord. JESUS IS LORD! We are Saved, not by our own righteousness, but by God’s Grace (Favor and Mercy) through Faith. BRACE YOURSELF FOR THE KING’S RETURN!

there is no satan, there is no “god” figure either. these are just mythological figures created to personify the two opposing forces in nature. you can call it good vs. evil, light vs. dark, expansion vs. contraction, whatever you want… it’s all a metaphor for something greater that is not explained by modern religious organizations. “god” is really just an external personification of consciousness. that’s why it is said that “god” is omnipotent and omniscient – because “he” literally is everywhere and everything… “he” is consciousness, the true essence of the universe. look within you and you can see the pattern – our bodies are made up of cells, which are living, conscious beings (they eat, reproduce, and communicate with other cells). a cell becomes cancerous once it stops communicating with the host and it begins to grow out of proportion. like cancer cells, humans have lost communication with our host. this explains the division between “man” and “god” and why humans seem to plague the earth like a cancer cell – especially in the u.s., where our entire society is based around capitalism (or infinite growth). we have lost communication with the consciousness of the universe… and that is why humanity, right now, is divided and lost. but i believe in time, we will be saved. not by the return of jesus or anything, but by the cycles of nature that have a way of self-correcting any anomalies. so if we see major earthquakes and floods or whatever other ‘apocalypse’ type scenario, it will not be the wrath of god, but just the planet trying to save itself, and ultimately, our species.
Very interesting. Especially the end part. First of all, the war in heaven IS mentioned in the old testament. Whoever wrote this does not know what they are talking about. I quote from the OLD Testament:

O morning star, son of the dawn! (in the King James I think it says “Oh Lucifer, Son of the Morning”)

The war didn’t start because satan was jealous of God’s love for humans. Satan was cast down because he wanted to BE LIKE GOD. I don’t mind the article, but I hate when people who obviously do not know the scriptures try to disect it.
