hands down with this song ,ok girl ,you just doin it classic
It was a good idea, but it wasn’t executed well. Her voice is 2 melodic 4 the grittiness of the beat (except 4 on the hook & the breakdown at 2:10). Whoever produced it should have softened up the “Affirmative Action” part (the verses) or somethin. It woulda been a fuckin great look if they woulda had Nas or Foxy put a verse on this. Their rap vocals woulda matched perfectly with the rawness of the beat (obviously cause the original was their’s) & it would’ve payed homage 2 the 1996 version as well. Anyways like I said, great idea, but it just didnt mesh well 2 me…..*Shrug Life*

i think they did really well with this track…it gives a diff perspective on the beats like this and i find it fits…no offense but if i wanted a gritty rap version…i would listen to the originals instead…

Aight, a day later & I’ll admit, the song has grown on me. I don’t kno if it’s cuz “Affirmative Action” was just a beast ass song or because I love Jazmine Sullivan’s vocal abilities, but the song is kinda tight. I’ll give Missy 2 claps 4 this…….still needs a Nas or Foxy verse tho.
