How is it a bad idea for Consequence? What do you really expect him to sell in the first week? If Bobby Ray only sold 84k I bet Consequence would sell something around 10-30k. At least with Kanye, CuDi & Big Sean all dropping together there might be some people who decide to pick up an extra CD.
My only complaint with them all dropping on the same day is that I’m expecting Good Ass Job and Mr. Rager to be the best music of the year and I got to give them both a chance. Big Sean is someone I’ve been waiting on for awhile too I can’t skip over his music because of an overload. Cons I can live without but his last tape was decent.
if this does happen, i better start saving some money

Cudi I’ll probably get, but will most definitely get the leak & Consequence has a purchase coming from me as well after that last mixtape; was dope.

I think the best idea would be
Big Sean – 1st Week
Cons – 2nd Week
Cudi – 3rd Week
Kanye – 4th Week
You need to leave anticipation and such. All four have different sounds/styles. Big Sean would surprise everyone so much the hype would already be crazy. Not a Cons fan but he might hype up some attention cause at the end of the day its all about the results for ‘Ye I think that would be the best thing to do.

However, if kanye decides to legit promote the 3 of them, you could seriously expect some bigger numbers in sales. Selling all 4 albums separately on the same day sounds like a bad idea to me, especially in the current climate of the music biz.
1) People hardly buy 4 CDs in a year these days, so I can’t see people trying to buy all 4 of these albums in the same day or week (not really speaking personally, because I bought 3 CDs at the same time before).
2) Kanye’s album will overshadow the other 3, and Kid Cudi’s album could even overshadow Big Sean’s and Consequence’s (i’m not talking about quality by the way).
3) We’re getting ready to enter the month of July, and these days, u need more than a couple of months to prepare for an album release. Big Sean hasn’t really established himself enough yet to have a big debut album (commercially), and now he’ll need a monster single to heat up the rest of the summer. Numbers & buzz don’t really matter in the case of Consequence, but he needs a single that’s better than “Whatever U Want” (no disrespect to the song). And Kid Cudi needs another “Day N Nite”.
But i’m only speaking from a business perspective. All 4 could end up being good purchases, and to me the real bottom line is the quality of the music. But honestly, i’m only looking forward to Kanye’s right now. I was underwhelmed with Kid Cudi’s debut, i’m not sold yet on Big Sean, and I haven’t gotten into Consequence.
This sounds to good to be true.. If they sold in one, lets say a collectable package with all discs, then I would love to pick it up. But I still highly doubt that they would all put out together..
My birthday is on sept 17, my sister just told me she was going to cop all these albums as a gift. Hell 2 the motha fucking yeah doggy. Let’s hope these fuckers don’t push their album back
