While shuffling through my iTunes looking for some music to listen to while working on some design work, Fort Minor’s The Rising Tied came on. Track 7 begins and the voice of Jay-Z sparks it off with “that beat is hard”. Every time I hear this shit I imagine Hov dropping a 16… but it never happened. To this day I still think he laid a verse but it was just never used. Who knows. Also, I added Kenji as a bonus. One of my favorite joints on the album; describing the experiences of Shinoda’s family during World War II.

a really underrated album by an underrated rapper. i absolutely hate linkin park, but shinoda is a hell of a rapper and this album proves it

Hell yes. I bumped FM debut to fuck when it first came out. I love these posts Shake, make me realise that there is good music out there, all we have to do is look in our back catalogue.
NICEEEEE CHOICE Shake, This album is dope as fuck, and super duper slept on. The tracks with Black Thought & Common are in my opinion the best on the album – “Right Now” & “Back Home”.

Classic album IMO…..Shinoda is a dope emcee and an even iller producer, Styles of Beyond kills every track they’re on as well.
By far my favorite album! Shinoda is a musical genius that isn’t appreciated the way he deserves.

Shinoda is ill…he shoulda done more, the album is classic.
