Honestly, this is my first real introduction to The Roots. I’ve heard a couple of their singles, and have heard all about their talent and influence, but I never really got around to giving them a good listen. And the main reason I’ve even been following this album was because of Blu being featured on two tracks.
I had no idea what I was missing. From these clips, I think I can safely say that this will be the first no-skip rap album I’ve heard since Blu’s “Below the Heavens” back in 2007.
