On the release day of Thank Me Later, the Cookin’ Soul boys team up with Don Cannon for their latest mash up project.
Thanks Us Later is a new approach to song remixing. Not having the a capellas it is a complete new challenge. Cookin’ Soul got in the studio together with french top producer Spike Miller and electronic spanish producer VibaSound using real live instruments: guitars, bass, piano, strings and synths.

Welcome to the digital age; albums old news, they ain’t been out for two days.
Aside from all the gay hating, I skimmed through it. Most of this tape was unnecessary and they just added a lot of stuff on top of the songs that just was kinda overkill. “Unforgettable” was the standout, most definitely. They interpolated more of the original Aaliyah joint and stuff, which I thought the original should had on it in the first place. “Fancy” was decent. The rest wasn’t too interesting.
Just my thoughts. Hate or whatever. *shrugs. It’s just the internet.
think of all the Rappers they could have gone in the studio and crafted tracks with. SMH Waste of time.

i thought the original was dope…this remix album has its highs but….i think i agree in that its overkill. the album dropped yesterday but theres already and “mashup?” of it???? i like don cannon so i wont hate to much…but the playing over the OG tracks killed the minimalist approach they had taken which made the songs dope. but yeah….ill see how this feels all the way through…i still already like the what drake just dopped better.

Fancy-same-definitely should of had T.I. on it-the beat is improved but we have an old Jay verse (that everyone’s heard) rather than a solid new verse from T.I.
