I know 3 people that went and they said it was DEAD. Summer Jam is terrible and the show as a whole is real low budget. I think some of it has to do with the evolution of the internet/technology. People don’t really listen to the radio anymore and people don’t care as much about the ‘popular radio’ songs anymore. It use to be that we were force fed mainstream shit because there really wasn’t an alternative other than bootleg mixtapes. Now the internet has so many sites that offer endless music and I think it has shifted a lot of people the other way away from the radio ‘hits’. Summer Jam is as mainstream and ‘pop’ as you can get so therefore I think less people care.

I definitely agree with this article. I also party agree with the first post from Gio. Though I do know many people still listen to the mainstream radio (a great number actually), I do feel its losing the luster it had in the past. It’s probably a blessing in disguise do to the curse that is Clear Channel. Music is changing.
