You have to really appreciate lyrics in order to like this album. Some of the hooks/singing is not my thing but lyrically this album is incredible. If the album had better hooks/less Eminem singing it could have been a classic. Im not a dick rider, I didnt like Encore at except for two-three tracks, but i love this album so far. He’s definitly back. Every verse i heard it crazy. I really dunno what people don’t like about it. His rhyming is better then ever, and the album has songs on all typa topics. Im thinking this’ll be one of his best albums after listening to 5 tracks.

You Publicist need to stop it. This Album is very Mediocre. The Anticipation of Eminem working with Just Blaze did NOT live up to its hype at all. I’m very disappointed with how the album came out. The intro and Wont back down is really the only tracks that sparked my interest. Em sounds VERRY POP and just not as creative of a writer as he used to be. Go Listen for your self….he doesn’t make classic’s like “Guilty Concision” “Stan” “Lose yourself” anymore. Go Buy SSLP and MMLP.

i definitely wouldnt say Recovery is “doodoo butter”. i wouldnt call it “this generations illmatic” either, though. after a few rotations, this sounds to me like a pretty solid album. its certainly more club-friendly than Relapse was, which will satisfy the large majority of you, im sure. the rest of you will be happy to know that while its more “poppy,” it also manages to be a million times more lyrical, which is a very hard thing to do.
as someone whose opinion typically seems to vary from “the norm” on this site, i feel safe saying that, overall, this is a good album. better than Relapse (and i thought Relapse was pretty good), but not as good as Em’s early work was.
enough with trying to be the guy that made that REALLY BOLD statement, yall. take your time, actually LISTEN to the album, take a few hours/days/weeks to soak it in, and then say something THATS REAL about it.

Just listened to the full album and I gotta say I’m amazed. Not gonna say people are hating cuz opinions differ, but you gotta be out your damn mind to not think that Em delivered with the lyrics and flows on this one. For me, Eminem Show is Em’s best album. Relapse was a colossal letdown, Recovery is far better. I like Drakes Thank Me Later and find it really hard to even compare them…? Anyways, I agree with a few comments, he does sing a *bit* too much on Recovery and those drums/semi-rock/indie beats are kind of lame. It doesn’t have the same stamp of approval of Dr. Dre that his earlier albums did. Regardless, Recovery (thus far) bangs, and it’s great to see the old Weezy back at it.

I like the Rhianna track, i wasn’t expecting a track about domestic violence but i think Rhianna’s vocal worked for me.

Man i respect your opinion. Most conceptual album to date? were talking 16 bars of whining, a bad hook and standard productions. Thats not a creative structure to a “CLASSIC” record. What happened to creativity of “Stan”, “Guilty Conscience”, “Brain Damage”, “If I Had”. What happened to Dre? I can here his production on “So Bad” but thats nothing special.

So you’re telling me you can’t tell the difference between the 320k CDQ posted on RRT as opposed to the 128k version that is also being floated around? Obviously there isn’t a real noticeable difference unless you have a trained ear for it (which I do) but there is a definite difference. The 320k CDQ on RRT is definetly CD quality and if it’s not it’s very very close. I was listening to the album in my whip and it for sure sounds CD quality.

The industry and Eminem have changed, he’s done the Hardcore rap albums in Marshall Mathers LP. The Slim Shady LP was more of his funny side. Eminem show + 8 Mile tracks where his more serious rapping.
Maybe its just that with getting older its harder to be orignal as he’s covered most subjects, if he even did a song like Guilty Conscience it would be instantly compared, and again you’ll get the haters saying ‘Guilty Conscience is 10X better than this shit etc’. Him branching out to new producers is orignal for Em, he’s trying different things which could be orignal.
By the way I think eminem is the most consistent rapper out there. No rapper whatsoever will re-reach their peak. Nas, Jay-Z, Rakim, Kanye. Even more old school rappers such as Rakim and Q-Tip will never top their previous albums. People need to stop comparing a sound which is ever-changing. Dont compare this to TES, MMLP, SSLP or even Infinte but compare it to Relapse, and tbh this shits all over it.
