they called outkast but big and dre denied to show up there. forgot the reason why. big explains this in some video.

  19. should have listened to scarface smh. but the homie mystical deserve some honor after all these years.

  20. WTF with doing a “Dirty South” Honors. Are they not a part of Hip Hop as a whole? Don`t alienate them from the rest of hip hop. 2 Live crew and The Ghetto Boys should`ve been honored right next to N.W.A. or Public Enemy or ATCQ. VH1 is fuckin up with this one. I won`t be watching. Remember the south fought long and hard to be a part of hip hop,and this is what you do ? Get the fuck outta here.

  24. ignorance is always bliss! Look! 1st off. To all the catz that felt like some more deserving artist from New York should’ve been honored just remember that this hip hop honors is showcasing how these honorees changed the game of hip-hop with branding themselves in other areas besides just the music! While you New Yorkers were worried about getting a record deal. We southerners were showing you slow niggas how we can create our own damn record deals by selling our own shit out the trunk of our cars! No Limit was dropping shit every month damn near! Luke was the only nigga bringing booty shake music to NY and while yall was dissing the music, yall hoes was shaking their asses to it harder than the southern hoes! Jermaine is gone be Jermaine! He was Diddy before Diddy was Diddy!LOL… He was really born into this music industry shit! Timberland had beats that you could’ve never that about composing. And that’s hip-hop & R&B. And of course My hometown niggas: ORGAN-NO-I-Z-E! The production team behind Outkast, Goodie Mob, TLC(Waterfalls), En Vogue(Dont Let Go!. We always knew about the North. Had no choice! BUT! Did yall really know about the SOUTH!
