Meka’s Soul Mix Show: The Marley Generation

I’ve had Distant Relatives on repeat for the past three weeks or so, probably driving the bosses mad at times. Fuck it though, they get down too. My Generation features a sample from Damian’s talented brother, Ziggy along with the Melody Makers, off the 1991 album, Jahmekya.

  4. “Why the hell isn’t Meka doing his own mix show?”

hahaha… ive asked the same thing myself. but the homie KNOW is holding it down so im not complaining.

  5. the sample for Patience is dope as fuck too

  6. I don’t like this album all that much. It’s more Nas and his un-emotive voice than it is Damian but the production isn’t as fresh as people believe it to be. Plus, there’s a lot of misinformation distorted by Nas.

  7. fuck james

  8. seriously after 3-4 weeks of listening/banging the distant relatives cd it has not loss any steam…..TIMELESS MUSIC is GREAT in a TIME of weak MUSIC……Thank you Nas and Dee……The Album is Perfect…..

  9. KNOWxONE consistenly bringing good shit.

@ james – you’re trippen. The only WACK is My Generation, which I’d go as far to say is almost untolerable. The rest is solid, especially considering the majority of releases (official and/or mixtapes) in this day and age.

  10. *WACK track
