I do admit this song aint as good as some of his old songs (When I’m Gone, Sing for the moment, toy soldier, just lose it….) but he’s been through a lot of shit, like explained in his RELAPSE album…I agree, “dope live performance” Em sounds just as good live as in the studio…u know how some rappers cant rap LIVE!!!! “it’s all love, no hating”….
If you’ve ever seen Em live he is one of the best at maintaining his vocal style/sound live as his studio voice. Most rappers do use backing tracks now though since most studio songs are dubed twice or more these days.

I think he did Awesome performaning this song for the first time Live! (Wish it woulda been in the US) You can tell he gets more comfortable and really starts getting into it as he gets further along in the song! I SOOOO LOVE the passion he has when he tells a story!! Make my hairs stand up!! I know it’s gotta be exhausting though. He should try not walking around so much just on this one song, and just staying one place and let out! But god Em is just sooo good!! And Stan and Forever are Awesome too!

I’ll hazard a guess and bet that the average age of the people who love this song is fifteen. The only two things good about ‘Not Afraid’ is Em’s rhyme schemes and flow. Everything else is atrocious. The beat is amateurish, the hook is hackneyed and poorly sung, the bridge even more so, and almost every one of his punchlines and metaphors are corny. This is not the Eminem that fans who have listened to him for over 10 years know and love. This is… I don’t know what this is.
Hi! I think eminem is doing great! Its so hard to get back, wile being addicted to drugs! You must remember after stopping using drugs, the nerves are not healed finally and ofcourse hi is nervous and anaxaity is a hell. I have been there, and still i got days when i want tostayin bed. But i thinkhe shall have all the respect 4 holding his head high and clean!! He is my biggest inspiration and will allways be!! I looking so forward to see him perfom in ireland at oxygen festival! Im 24 and still like eminem i think this song is dope 2! just because you dont like it doesnt mean everyone who does is a 15 yr old kid!!!
Honestly not a huge fan of the song but what makes me like it is the sentiment behind it and how far Em has had to go to get here. Sure maybe it’s not anywhere near his best work or even what we want to hear from him, but it’s what he wanted to put out for whatever reason and he’s just making the point that he’s clean and trying to straighten things out. I can appreciate that. Glad to see him performing live.
I’m at al ost what some people even want from Eminem at this point. He went on CRAZY lyrical psycho path..aka…slim shady era Em in Relapse. People complained that it was getting corny. So last two songs Not Afarid, and Airplanes remix he gets on the track and spits the truth and people complain about that. What do you want from him?
