I already saw the blogs sayin that they didn’t really want any rappers going in over J. Cole’s “Who Dat” instrumental. And who can blame them? J. Cole did a hell of a job with that track, especially for a single to be in THAT lane. But…I couldn’t help it. Not to mention, the homie Theo Martins adding fuel to the fire by dropping a freestyle over the track while I was heavy on the search and couldn’t find it. Blame him! I kid…but nonetheless, here we go, people…my own spin on “Who Dat.”

He should have helped himself, that sucked. Cole and Joell Ortiz already layed this beat to rest so rappers are wasting their time trying to turn it into another Exhibit C.
I thought it was coo. and wetha we like it or not, “who dat” is gon get rhymed over, I personally have no prob wit it..verse was a lil too long, but besides that, dude dis his thing.
I don’t understand why people say “I know this shouldn’t be rapped over…I get it.
But! I did it anyway”
:\
“shouldn’t be rapped over” my ass. Thats why Joell Ortiz gets any type of play, for that very reason.
^ that’s why Joell is respected, cuz he rhymes over other peoples’ beats 100x better most of the time. (i’m a j. cole fan, not dissing him)
HE went in!
my bro did his thing on the record…

Keep doin ya thing thing homie…….. Team ILR
cool, but not better than the original
A.Hole is fukin trash.
It was dope. Word play’s nice
Even a hater has to give props to this man. I understand why people say other rappers (mainly lesser known rappers) shouldn’t rap over certain beats, but that should only be an argument if the rapper doesn’t put passion and skill into the song and go in. This was one of those cases where an artist did it justice, so there should be nothing to say…
“Trying to make a diamond outta coal, and if not, throw it in the flame, along with the fame, diamond of the rhyming, shinin’ with no dame, something like Roc Nation, minus rumors of Masons…”
Nuff said…

Shits nice, dude def went the fuck in. He gets a pass to spit on this beat, as well as, Ortiz who murked this shit too. Cole’s version is still my fave tho.
