I think its fine to say “we” when speaking about a sports team but of course there are strings attached…if you’re lifetime supporter, season ticket holder, etc. you’ve actually contributed to the cause in some way and have the right use we. Obviously you can’t get credit for accomplishments on the court, but thats not the way I think of it when I use we. People use we when talking about college sports even though their not on the team…but they pay tuition which indirectly helps with scholarships so they can say that.
…back on topic. I don’t think anything can stop the celtics with the defense their playing now. Should be an action packed finals and I’m lookin forward to some intense battles.

I love how Lakers fans are saying Kobe is the key for that team. The Lakers best player if they face the Celts would be Gasol as he can shoot and go in since Perkins is mainly an low post defender. Then if we put Rasheed in his strength is initial ball denial and off the dribble defense not a great low post defender. Though they could have Garnett guard him but chances are that will tire them both out both ends of the floor.
I am from Boston (Roxbury) and a diehard Boston fan. It should pan out to be a good series if we do face the Lakers though that series is not over yet. But based on matchups, Rondo will cause Fisher to rely on double teams. Pierce and Artest is always a good matchup if anyone remembers Indiana/Boston games *cough* and Artest pantsing Pierce because he couldn’t keep up with him. Kobe on Ray Allen should be funny to watch. Both extremely good shooters and are always moving without basketball. Gasol and Garnett would be good but very tiring for both, I’d rather put Perk or Sheed on him to just beat the crap outta him. Bynum I doubt will be much of a factor for anyone that’s guarding him as most Celts Big Man do very well against people who use Power instead of fineese.
