Back in October of 2009, Sha Stimuli released what would quickly become my favorite album of the year in My Soul to Keep. While the album has received great praise, it’s still evident that there are far too many folks sleeping. So the Brooklyn native linked up with the dopehouse to present the Overtime mixtape. With DJ Slimm on the mix, Sha puts in extra work over some of the albums most noted tracks.

Would’ve loved it if “Good Day” would’ve got a second run. But still, it’s all good.

The most underrated MC in the game. 12 crazy mixtapes of original material in a year, a great official debut and countless guest spots where he tore the spot down, and some people are still sleeping. Sha is incredibly dope.

I like Sha. I loved his album for a minute. But I got bored of it relatively quick. I could still listen to a few of the tracks on the regular, but I just can’t do it most of the time.

@dan He does make life saving songs.His shit is so authentic and blue collar which is why its not as exciting as OJ da Ju man, for example. Like on my favorit joint from Soul.. ,Do it 4 the Doe. He tells the truth about why ppl go to work and sacrifice their dignity.

as usual sha came with some amazing music, heartfelt, real, relatable, clever, all of that.
but dj slimm.. i dont like the mixing/scratches/extras at all. i dont even mind the two dope boyz drops but shas music is just not suppose to have a fucking fire alarm behind it like dj khaled or some shit. it really fucks with me vibing with the songs.
