  29. Nas is saying to put music out and not care about the numbers, if you put some heart, mind and soul into, people will feel it. And I’m pretty sure he’s not saying just put a lot of it out because the more you put out, the more your quality tends to suffer, that’s just a law of manufacturing. It’s about finding the right level a quality at a consistent pace to keep people happy. Music is simply suffering because everything is very one sided. There’s no variety like there was during the Golden Era of Hip Hop. It’s saturated with a bunch of artist that all sound the same.

I understand that most of his music is what u would call “light hearted”, but there’s usually a message to accompany the light heartedness.
