J. Cole – Good*Fella Radio Interview (Video)

J. Cole chops it up with GFR about graduating from St. Johns, rumored beef with Drake, his classic album and more. Oh yea… he also states his NBA Championship prediction; which I agree 100% with.

  1. Won’t let me watch the video, but if he says he thinks its gonna be a Magic/Lakers championship, with Magic winning in 6 then I agree.

  2. doesnt work

    boo this man

  3. This guy deserves way more spins on the radio. I hope the label doesnt push back the album…

  4. LMAO @ “his classic album”. not even gonna waste my time with another BS A. Hole interview.

  5. damn nyc/brooklyn you really do stay on j. cole’s dick

  6. The more attention J.Cole gets, the better for hip hop! No way the label will push back the album!! Who Dat is gettin great feedback. Love this guy, can’t wait for the album and what he does next. Enough with the Drake bullshit already please! Focus on the muuusic

  7. LAKers !!!!!!!!!!

  8. video not working

  9. FUCK THE LAKERS!!!!! GO MAGIC!!

  10. I never understood why u would get on a J Cole interview to say he sucks if he does indeed suck then why give him support by watching his video all publicity is good publicity shit i guess hes not doing his job if there’s no hate

And please fix the video Shake

  11. @NYC/Brooklyn You are the typical fuck that won’t give any new cats a chance. I know a lot of new artists are terrible but you can’t just count them out just because they are new. Stay off J. Cole’s dick.
    (Video doesn’t work shake)

  12. Lakers or bust

  13. too many niggaz to name on the responses, but yall niggaz already know who this is directed to. you got one nigga talkin’ A. Hole “deserves way more spins on the radio”. with what? who dat? that shit was leaked online and already became a crash and burn single. nobody gives a fuck about that song no more. radio ain’t gotta do shit for an artist especially if roc nation ain’t paying the radio station to play his shit without an album. all these BORING interviews is nothing but promotional obligations. to these other niggaz saying “get off A. Hole’s dick”. how the fuck yall sounding? yall the typical sensitive niggaz that always come to the rescue for some cornball rapper who’s album yall gonna download anyways. hey Shake, fix the video for the A. Hole SHEEP FANS, so they can write their homo love letters.

  14. NYC Brooklyn you are the definition of a fuck boy

  15. Do you hear exhibit c on the radio, not really, probably just as much as who dat, and thats never. You wait a year and these two are gonna blow the fuck up.

  16. Dude is so confident in himself he doesnt even have a feature on his album(so far) and he’s producing/co-producing every track… Has that ever been done before on a debut album?
and the last producer/rapper jay signed did pretty well for himself… just sayin.

  17. Classic Interview (Video Works For Me)

  18. Video is Fixed sorry for the mess up it is public now

  19. this is a song for the ville.

  20. Fuck a Drake. Ol’ “Money to Blow” “Easily influenced by the niggas im around” ass.

  21. NBDL stand up!

  22. I MURDA COLLEGE

    I GETS MONEY

  23. i aint even speculating, some of the best albums ever had little to no radio play, 99% of radio play is blow ur brains out annoying stuff. j cole already has come out with some good mixtape material. so lets see what hes gonna do and judge when the album comes out.

  24. Lakers!?!?! Nah Suns gon beat that ass its Magic all the way.

  25. can somebody that thinks this kid’s nice please put me on to what you consider his best work…I’m not an automatic hater of up-and-comers, but I honestly just don’t get what all the hype about J. COLE is…same with LAWS – he’s very mediocre (not that he has as big of a buzz as COLE). Lemme know.

  26. Classic? Decent at best.

  27. the personal hype i been havin for j cole is due to his 2 ill mixtapes (3 counting his unoffical one)

the overall hype people are now havin for j cole is most likely due to they heard hes signed to jay and they heard him on BP3

  28. @Xavier based on wut? ppl that said its classic based it on actually listenin to some of the ablum tracks. wut u basin it on?

i just hope this shit actually drops in the summer. i wonder how his singles r gonna do

  29. Hell Naw! I didn’t even know J. Cole could hoop like that. I hope he don’t take no L’s on the court like Drizzy lol

  30. @Shawn Gee listen to his mixtape the warm up, i still bump that shit on a regular. his ”come up” mixtape had more punchlines and wutnot, but warm up wus betta cuz it sounds more like an album, and his production got betta

  31. @ Shawn Gee, and on the warm up listen to grown simba, I get up, get away, …. Well they’re all classic joints if you ask me

  32. Oh and “world is empty” is a must have.

  33. @ R. Are you tryin to say I haven’t listened to the album? Come on now. First, I didn’t say it was bad or wack. J.Cole has talent and the Warm Up is decent with some solid tracks, but some boring and meh tracks too. On one hand he seems like a hungry young intelligent college grad pleading for acceptance, seeking stardom (Welcome & Losing My Balance, which I think are the best tracks on The Warm Up. His verse on the Wale track is his best by far IMO). But on the other hand, he’s talkin big about money, material things, hoes, tough talking “nigga this, nigga that” how accomplished he is and the jealousy of others – comes off as dumbed down, cheesy, and not believable IMO. He’s put out a couple mixtapes. I know his fans & followers will disagree – oh well. The line “Best rapper since Lil Wayne in classes” is hot if you think Lil Wayne is nice. He sounds like he sleepwalking through Lights Please. The track Dreams is cringe inducing. Digiorno/Delivery lines = fail. His raw dog/condom analogy on Just Begun = fail. A track about ‘Beautiful Ladies” but calling em bitches and hoes on every other track. “I’m here to stay/a fucking hotel” = corny. Over analyzing? Maybe. Perhaps young heads relate to him more than heads who been around and seen more, but personally I’m not into chasing girls at the mall & Disney (Simba) references. Criticism aside, I’m looking forward to hearing more from J.Cole. I’m sure he’ll evolve, but I’m hoping it’s different than Who Dat.

  34. @xavier everyones got their own opinion, so im not even gonna go bak and forth wit u on all the points u brought up, tho it sounds like ur losin alot of his msg in his songs jus cuz of the cussin, but u should focus on wut hes actually tryin to say. and i dont see how u can say the raw dog line was weak. but anyways, if u actually listened to the interview, u’d see that the classic album they’re talkin bout is his actual debut album, NOT his mixtape (even tho i still say that mixtape wus incredible), which is why i said they based callin his album classic it off what ppl who’ve actually heard the album been sayin. but u didnt hear it and u said decent at best, thats wut i wus talkin bout

  35. Xavier you don’t know anything about hip hop. Jermaine has many credible lines that are fire..

I’m a star, Conversers , conversing with them girls, with them curves like cursive

They open like curtains because my shit is unheard of like curses on the radio

Same bitches used to play me though

  36. I also question and sometimes cringe when I hear J. Cole’s overuse of the word “nigga, hoes, and bitches.”

I feel that overall what he is trying to portray is that he has both sides in him and sometimes they conflict. He said it himself: “I swear yo I’m like Huey mixed with Riley/Thursday I be trying to save the world and then on Friday…I hit the club”

I believe it is a good angle and he carries it somewhat well, but I also think that instead of showing the battling sides with a balance, he instead takes it to two extremes, sometimes even in the same song.

I’m looking forward to the debut.

I’m looking forward to the debut. Big J. Cole fan…only young dude I sincerely like as an MC besides Fashawn and Blu.

  38. @ R – to each his own. If you know anything, you’d know any unreleased album dubbed CLASSIC never lives up to the hype. Ever.

And to DooN, you know absolutely nothing about what I know about hip hop other than my opinion on J.Cole. Save your asinine comments.

  39. I’m curious to see what folks that are saying he not that nice are comparing him to. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but if you think he’s wack, then who do you think is hot? I think he’s dope and is one of the best rappers out right now, in terms of new artists. But every rapper can’t make EVERYBODY a fan. So if you think J. Cole is wack, say who you think is doper than him.

  40. I dont get how J Cole could get any haters lol. The dude is humble as fuck and his music is dope.

  41. This guy is so humble, not flashy and didn’t let his fame get to his head…hopefully that doesnt change, and hopefully his album can compare to the warm up…

  42. Maybe I don’t understand what’s going on, but he’s one of the few guys that DOESN’T talk about material things and money. He hasn’t said anything about monetary value.

Plus, the whole best rapper since Lil’ Wayne is a reference to Wayne calling himself the best rapper alive. No opinions involved. He said he likes Cannabis more. Lights please had a flow that was supposed to be lazy. Dreams has a story that is more so cringe inducing than flow.

But Xavier, a lot of what you were saying is opinion. If you look at the writing and think about the combination of techniques even with story telling and his contrast he’s not GARBAGE. He’s arguably one of the best of this year. You may not see it, but that’s okay. It’s music. Not everyone loves everything. But, he’s not OJ Da Juiceman.

However, I will say this, NYC/BROOKLYN, why do you post on every J. Cole post? Does saying A. Hole make you feel more secure about yourself or even make you feel witty? Honestly, an interview is an interview. It’s not supposed to be fireworks and such going off in the background. If you don’t like him, there really is no need to click and comment. I don’t go to Gucci posts or whoever that French Montana cat is, I don’t post, I move on. You should do the same instead of taking time to be a troll.
