  6. I downloaded the leak version, I havent listened yet. Is it that good? Cuz people are throwing the world “classic” around…then again apparently all albums are “instant classics” nowadays.

  7. from my POV this is best album of the year so far… and it does have some memorables songs…all instrumentals are bangin and the lyrics are deep and every song has a message so why not call it a “classic”

  8. man…. i’ve never really followed nas, but this album is the SHIT. for real.

  9. The leaks are all punk leaks I swear… with the text doc saying to enter your digits and etc.

  10. this is going to be on repeat till joell drops.

  11. LOL @ all these Nas crushes…suckin that Black Panther dick!!

  12. Although I’m not going to go as far to say that it is a classic, this is the best album I’ve heard in several years. I’m definitely going to buy a real copy in support of this album. “Africa Must Wake Up” & “Count Your Blessings” are the highlight imho. Damian & Stephen Marley really did a beautiful job on the production side.

    Distant Relatives = 9.5/10
As close to a classic as it gets in 2010

  13. send ya email to duckdown88@gmail.com for exclusive invites to lockerz.com to earn crazy free prizes shit is ill

  14. The album is amazing. Downloaded it but I’m still buying. MAY 18TH!!

  15. damn straight fire, my favorite rapper/artist of all time and the hottest reggae man since Bob. This sounds like some groundbreaking hotness

  16. Dope. Definitely buying a copy. All the cuts I’ve heard have been fresh & I definitely think it’s in the running for one of the best albums of 2010.

  17. my favorite album in at least the past few years…

we’ll see if its replay value is still high in a few years but im confident this will go in the ranks of my favorite albums ever.

    i certainly will be purchasing.

  18. underground904 u sound bitter dude

defo ppl gotta support this. this is good music.

  19. I’m definitely going to support quality hip hop and purchase DR when it drops… You should post “In His Own Words”…blows me away.

  20. 30 seconds isn’t really enough to judge… But I can only assume I wont be impressed wit the beats, overall its probably going to be a descent album though

  21. The 18th is gonna go down in history.

This joint is hot. the Talib Hitek joint is hot, and the Janelle Monae joint is straight fire.

    are all getting purchased.

  22. I don’t have any money to buy this…
    :(
Or the other great albums coming this year…
I’m pissed. I want to buy this album.

  23. the album is sick. i’m definitely gettin a hard copy

  24. Tribes At War sounds tough!!!!

  25. Album is only 13 tracks.

  26. Why Does Africa Look Like The Smoke Monster On Lost On The Cover?

  27. Does anyone have a link to “Ancient People”

  28. Tribal war is crack. This album is def a classic and I hope these two keep making good music like this. So far the replay value seems high because all the songs are really dope and have good messages.

Don’t forget to cop it on the 18th though.

  29. just listened to it..its good..def not great..repetitive..def has barely any replay value….i think u guys gotta give it a few more listens before u say its the best album in years..def not even close

  30. Amazing album!

  31. Listened to it. Its good, but its no instant ‘classic’. At times it gets a little repetitive and preachy. It’s worth the money though, and I’ll probably buy if I have money left over from the rest of the albums that are coming out that day.

  32. I just wanna hear “tribes at war” beat is tough.

  33. @Drastik ive listened to it 3 times full through today and 9 or so of the tracks have been out for weeks and ive been spinning them since the days they leaked so i have enough listens to “def” say its my favorite in years.

  34. THA SYLINSIR, LINO & YUNG CUE “16,32,48″ (Prod. By Sy) WORLD PREMIERE !!!!!!! http://www.zshare.net/audio/758906129aa8f574/

  35. question… what else leaked today?

  36. The entire album already leaked.

  37. Lol, I think everyone should give at least 5 years before you name something classic, at least 5.
But for real this album is seriously good.

  38. shits wik wik wack!!

  39. the album is a classic

  40. album is dope IMO

  41. birdman best rapper alive

  42. where can i find leakd albums as soon as it drops

  43. Still shoulda had Popa Wu or at least Popa Chief repp on this one. But they left off the Gods. They really did mess up by not including the Gods on this album.

  44. Not even going to dl the leak. I’ll purchase when it drops

  45. Perfect album. make sure you pick that up May 18…..get 2 or 3 if you can
    Yea its that good……

  46. so glad im reviewing this album
    N-A-S

  47. i love this album.. nas is incredible. straight hip hop.
    patience = major dopeness

  48. this is garbage. lol @ every1 sayin classic.

  49. The album transcends both Nas’ hip hop background and Marley’s background in Reggae, creating a unique sound to today’s music scene. I’m unsure where it will end up falling, but it’s the closet thing I’ve heard to Classic-Status in years. Support quality hip hop and download this album.

  50. that track NAH MEAN is crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  51. yeah i officially have that shit on repeat, NAH MEAN GOES FUCKING HARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDddddddd wow

  52. I know people like using the word CLASSIC loosely but this album is the definition of one… Now this is music at it’s finest… REAL TALK…

  53. album of the year so far

  54. that “patience” beat is dope as fuck.

  55. lmao like a snippet is really needed!

  56. THE WILL MAKE HISTORY WITH THIS PROJECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANY ONE STATES. THIS IS THE TYPE OF MUSIC THAT CAN BE DISCUSSED 5O YEARS FROM NOW AS SOMETHING THAT HAD CONTENT AND MEANING. THIS IS THE TYPE OF MUSIC THAT WAS CREATED BACK IN THE DAYS THAT CAUSES US TO EMBRACE THOSE GREATS LIKE MICHAEL JACKSON, BOB MARLEY, HARRY BELAFONTE, JIMI HENDRIX, THE BEATLES, MARVIN GAYE, ISAAC HAYES,…ETC.

YOU CAN TEACH THIS IN A CLASS.YOU CAN HAVE A COURSE ON THIS!! CAN YOU HAVE A COURSE ON LIL WAYNE? CAN YOU HAVE A COURSE ON SNOOP DOGG, JAY Z? NO NO NO!!! FORGET ABOUT WHAT THE GAME NEEDS, THIS IS WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS!!

  57. Yall need to do your knowledge and learn ya 120. You can come see me at that Moment. Peter and I met some friends while we were in the slammer.
