Depends on what type of rap/hip hop you listen to.
No one ever confused rappers (especially those who catch a case) for intelligent people. It’s a generalization, but true for the most part and no different than prison/rap generalization. Rap (especially mainstream rap that reaches the masses) is entertainment and most people who buy/listen-to rap albums know this. Sure, there are the young knuckleheadz that think they’re untouchable until something happens in their life that puts it all in perspective – the 40 minute chase resulting from jacking Sam Goody. It’s comical when rappers think they’re above the law and start living the fictional rap persona they created.
I’d be inclined to grant with you here. Which is not something I typically do! I love reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to speak my mind!
