I remember how people fronted hard on this shit when it came out. The Source (I don’t think XXL was very relevant yet) gave it like 3 mics. I thought the album was pretty crazy at the time. I mean, it’s far from flawless. But who’d have thought that each subsequent release from that point on would suck more and more balls.

The Commission and The Life are my shit. I think both of Shynes albums are dope, start to finish. Not perfect but damn, much better than most shit that has come out since. For example, lil wanye rockin and rollin, uh..anything from 50 cent, most southern cats like waka, oj, gucci, etc… hell, i would go as far as saying either one of his albums are way better than relapse. i could go on and on as i havent already. fuck it. weird voice or not, ill listen.

I remember when the self-titled album came out, it didn’t leave my CD player for months. Album was insane. I never understood the hate.
And LMAO @ people saying dude was biting Biggie. First off, he has a deep voice, that doesn’t mean he’s biting Biggie and secondly his flow is completely different. The only people that say he bit Biggie’s style are the one’s who never heard his early mixtape work and debut album.
