  10. If you can sing on a beat there is a good chance you can rap on a beat also. The harder thing would be for a rapper to try to sing on a beat. Rapping is basically just talking on the beat rather than singing so for dudes who can sing switching it up isn’t hard.

  15. ^^ There is more breath control needed for singing and you need the rest of things you listed also for singing. Rapping is basically talking over a beat unless you are trying to do some kind of Bone Thugs flow or something.

  16. @iCon..i think Brown writes his own raps,,his rhymes are kinda corny and at the beginning of his singing career he bragged about how he couldve been a rapper but chose singing cuz u get more girls…but anyway @snagz it also depends on how the rapper structures his verse, like its much easier to spit a Gucci Mane verse where there’s no complexity in the rhyme scheme and basically rhyming 1 syllable than say a rapper that comes with alot of multi-syllable wordplay in his rhyme scheme,,that isnt “talking” and probably requires a lil more breath control and skill to rap 1 of those type verses than singing a simple song where only the last word of each line rhymes
