Eminem’s New Single, Not Afraid, Drops Friday Thursday

Contrary to earlier reports, Em’s Recovery single will now be premiering on Thursday morning during Shade45′s The Morning After show with Angela Yee. And like I hinted to earlier… the song will be an uplifting record produced by Boi-1da, not Jim Jonsin.

  1. nice. first

  2. Hmmmm so when does recovery drop?

  3. NICEE. Boi-1da has made some dope records, about to be a great producer of this generation

  4. lmao. B.o.B doin his thing. Em’s gotta come and “re-conquer” this thing

  5. I just hope this album is a big improvement from Relapse because that album had me thinking he was done.

  6. Eminem is the god of rap

  7. Boi-1da on production should be dope

  8. “Hmmmm so when does recovery drop?”

i think the date is something like june 22nd or some shit. *shrugs…

  9. RZA ANNOUNCED HE’S PRODUCING GZA’S LIQUID SWORDS 2!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Shake, Cole posted on twitter that the album work you posted isn’t official the “JC” on the hat is actually “NC” on the hat in the real one. I guess somebody posted up a photoshopped version of the real one. He is asking blogs to change it that’s why I am even saying it.

  11. that word “uplifting” is scaring the fuck out of me….

  12. what time does the show usually start?

  13. @ goku

    im Not Afraidddd

  14. Maybe it’s just me but I prefer Em when he seems angry or disturbed. lol

  15. @TheFuckingTruth

You better not be fuckin’ around…..

  16. he needs to get premo to do a track and i would also love if he went ahead and got a j dilla beat also

  17. @real talk

Im not, RZA announced it on his twitter. Its comin this fall!

    http://twitter.com/RZAWU/status/12967636014

  18. @Snagz Relapse was probably he’s best album lyrically, it’s only the beats that made it sound a bit shit. He is nowhere near done, fucks wrong with u. smh

  19. ^^^ you’re crazy his best album lyrically? Were you born only a few years ago? I suggest you check your Eminem history and listen to his pre “8 Mile” albums. Relapse was his second worse album and his god awful accent/flow on the album made it almost unlistenable.

  20. @TheFuckingTruth

You just made my fucking night. Thank you sir

  21. Relapse was one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard….just embarrassing.

Hopefully he gets a strong single out early so people know he’s not dead/Mexican anymore.

  22. boi-1da is garbage. all his beats sound sooo similar

  23. somebody name some boi-1da produced track so I can get an idea

  24. nah give the dude a chance..if eminem usin his beat for the 1 st single it will be strong.. i mean em always had a good ear for beats

  25. Relapse was a decent album contrary to popular belief, but because it’s not what anyone wanted to hear people bash it. Nowhere near as bad as Encore, but I’m getting tired of defending the album. You either think its dope because of the intricate rhyme schemes, experimentation of flows, or the serial killer references; or you think its wack because of the accent, serial killer content, etc.

  26. Watch as soon as they hear him spit they will suck his dick so bad when he just spitin bullshit.. if he ain’t rappin about nothing why buy it?

  27. “uplifting” and eminem do not sound right…especially for a first single

  28. Liquid Swords 2?????
    WHAT!!!????!!!
Please tell me this is real!!!

  29. Cosign yawn.

  30. SHAKE have u heard the song ?

  31. Im pretty sure all you ppl like Snagz that hate Relapse only listened to it once… Overall it prolly was his 2nd worst album but that doesnt mean it was horrible

  32. Technically speaking, Relapse was great. Eminem`s flow and rhyme patterns were really good… The problem is, it sounded like garbage. I haven`t listened to a single song from that album since a week after it came out. His recent freestyle sounded pretty awful too.

  33. Nope, Relapse was horrible. Hop off his dick.

  34. ^ name three better mainstream hip hop albums from this year?

  35. cudi and b.o.b come to mind but as for mainsteam acts that are not debuts, not much comes near eminem now a days

  36. Eminem – Not Afraid (prod. Boi-1da)

  37. Good For RZA…Fuck Him…

  38. this whole relapse argument is silly. do you all really think Eminem was liked when he first came out? He never got respect from the hip hop community easily. Go back and listen to his albums. He has heard it all before. Listen to till I collapse. He knows he has to do double what a black rapper needs to do in order to get respect.

  39. June 22nd. Hopefully it doesn’t get pushed back again. Thursday is gonna be great. I’ll be listening to this while trying out UFC Undisputed 2010.

  40. Yawn said it exactly… it wasn’t what ppl expected so they automatically didnt like it… they hadn’t heard Em in a minute and wanted him to go back to his Eminem Show type shit… if you open your mind to it and understand it was basically a concept album you can appreciate the lyrics…

  41. Lmao @ Tango Down With The Modern Warfare Reference…

  42. Relapse sucked lyrically, but if you go back and listen to the rhyme patterns, they’re actually pretty ridiculous, every single line is made up of numerous multi-syllable rhymes

  43. Em is a beast. If he leaves that voice shit alone he’ll dead the game. This IS what Relapse should have been.

  44. so eh… boi 1da produced Over by drake… definitely excited to hear this shit.

  45. FEMINEM < GUCCI MANE

    WHITEY IS STRAIGHT TRASH

    COP THAT BURRPRINT 2 HD

  46. You guys may be right. Lyrically, nothing came close to Relapse with the rhyme scheme. I thought Eminem killed the wordplay on Relapse. However, content wise, Relapse is not really up there for me, and Eminem is my favorite rapper.

I’d say Lil Wayne’s “Carter III” had better content than Relapse.

However, in my opinion, the best 3 things to come out in the past little bit of time are:
Kid Cudi’s “Man On The Moon”
B.o.B’s “The Adventures of Bobby Ray”
    Law’s mixtape “4:57″

  47. To that guy up top that he hadn’t listened to a song off of relapse a week after he got the album. Really? Like really really? Not even beautiful? That’s honestly one of the best songs of his career. Let’s be real now..

  48. fcuk BURR hes rele dum idk what else to say

  49. very upset Jim Jonsin isn’t on this. he better still b on other em cuts on this album. Jim has never gone wrong and his sound is so smooth. Lollipop. Whatever You Like, Better Days ALL FIRE JIM JONSIN BEST PRODUCER

  50. i hope ALC is on Recovery

  51. 7 a.m. on the west coast right??

  52. i bet shake has the song already

  53. BURRPRINT 2 HD ON LEGENDARY LEVEL

    RECORD OFF THE CHAIN

    FEMINEM JUST A GUCCI WANNABE

HAD TO SLAP A FOOL FOR PLAYING

SOMETHING HE SAID WAS NEW A FEMINEM

RECORD. THIS WHITEY FOOL RUINED TWO

    CLASSICS.

ANYBODY WHO HATE A FOOL OR FEMINEM FOLLOWER

  54. boi 1da = not very good
only good beat by him i can think of is over and that had a co producer

  55. You Gotta Give Boi-1da A Chance…Dude Is Young As Hell…He’ll Be Pretty Doper In The Future…

  56. Boi-1da also did Drake’s “Forever.” Don’t forget that one. That’s your best comparison to get an idea of what Eminem sounds like over a Boi-1da beat. Besides this recent freestyle over “Over.” I guess Eminem is just giving us a sample of Thursday’s record with this freestyle.

  57. i won’t get excited until a track produced by Just Blaze surfaces

  58. fcuk BURR hes rele dum idk what else to say

YOUR STUPID, STOP HATING ON THE SOUTH LOSER.

YOUR SPELLING/GRAMMAR IS TRASH. HA, HA. FEMINEM FOLLOWERS TALK

SHIT ABOUT GUCCI’S MUSIC AND COME BACK WITH MEDIOCRE

RESPONSES. MAKES YOU FOOLS LOOK DUMB.

  59. Best I Ever Had, City Is Mine, Scared Money, Ransom, Set It Off, Uptown, I’m Ill, Over, all fuckin dope beats.

  60. Word, I heard about RZA doin’ GZA’s album, I’m real happy about that! On topic though, I like Jim Jonsin, but Boi-1da sounds a lot more appropriate. I’m all for experimenting and trying new ideas with this hip hop stuff, but something about Jim Jonsin doing his thing for Eminem doesn’t add up. *shrug*

  61. @On34
Em doesn’t have to ‘re-conquer’ shit. B.o.B is ill, but he’s not even in Em’s league. Nobody is. Em’s the King. Now don’t come in here and try runnin’ that wack shit.

  62. thnk you Els. why tha fuk r people doubting boi-1da he makes raw shit. havent heard a wack beat yet from him.

  63. I don’t get it.. why not just go to a blog that posts gucci mane stuff instead of spamming here? is WSHH down?

  64. Boi-1-da is such a average producer..most of his beats sound alike..no hate, but I’d rather hear the Just Blaze and DJ Khalil tracks..

  65. ^—

No way in the hell we’d hear those until the album is about to release or when all the leaks start happening.

  66. I don’t know how any one can knock on EM, he’s on a whole different level than majority of the artists out there.

  67. Nice! I just saw Drake in concert at UK. shit was bangin!!!!!!

  68. Off topic Lakers lookin like catholic priest spanking them young boys lol

  69. Em rocked “Over,” but you should check out Dyme Def’s version that they dropped a couple hours ago…probably my second favorite version after Em’s

You goota be kidding me… Em is on a higher level. Gucci is one of the worst rappers… I would't say their names in the same time…

  71. wtf

  72. Why are people scared of an uplifting song? I’d be scared if it said up beat but there’s a different. Think of Lose Yourself guys. That’s an uplifting song.

  73. Jim Jonsin > BoiWonda

  74. *takes my comment back about interscope/aftermath fuckey* Im impressed we are actually getting to hear this. Dr. Dre is a lying fuck who is not worth trusting anymore. Fuck. Why can’t they premiere BOTH tracks?

  75. Jim Jonsin is too busy gettin his money from wayne!!!! Jonsin > Boi-1da!!!

  76. “Why are people scared of an uplifting song? I’d be scared if it said up beat but there’s a different. Think of Lose Yourself guys. That’s an uplifting song.”

Exactly. Em is good at these kinds of songs and it’s a far better choice for a first single than the crap he put out for Encore and Relapse. Now, I don’t expect anything that matches Lose Yourself, but it should be a dope song, Em is in the zone right now.

  77. yeah Lose Yourself and Beautiful were hot tracks. Beautiful was the best track on reLapse to me!

  78. fuck yea!!!

  79. Yeah the hate on Relapse is because people want to nod their heads to the beat all day….but lyrics wise…remarkable how he strings rhymes together.

  80. I hope he realizes he can’t do the same thing as his other albums..

Something’s gotta be different or he will fall into irrelevancy.

  81. Oh My Fucking God! That BURR dude is a muthafucking retard. Someone please intelligently tell me how Gucci Mane is better than Em. Compared to Eminem, Gucci Mane ain’t even Hip-Hop/Rap. Lyrical wise he’s complete garbage. Even if you like what he raps about that shit is worst then horrible because he isn’t that intelligent with his lines. Put him with a way better artist in a song and his lack of talent comes to light. Like that “Believe It Or Not” song with Drake. Gucci is already garbage by himself, putting him next to Drake made him more irrelevant than an ant on the ground. Saying Gucci is better than Eminem ain’t some argument, its the opening to the funniest joke in the world.
