Raekwon, Freeway & Jay Electronica Say Be Counted (Video)

Although the first phase of the Census has been completed, many people still remain uneducated about the second phase of the Census, which includes representatives going door-to-door in order to garner Census forms. Recently, 99Problems.org caught up with Freeway, radio personality Angela Yee, Jay Electronica, 9th Wonder, Planet Asia, Rakaa of Dilated Peoples, Tech N9ne, Raekwon and more to get their perspectives on the Census and what they want to see happen to their communities. And just like anyone else, they are all very concerned citizens that are willing to do what they can to help their neighborhoods.

    Paperwork and reading and shit like that? Hell naw!?!   6. im not even trying to be lazy or anything but I REFUSE to fill out anything that refers to blacks as negroes. I am not a negro, therefore, I will NOT check that box. Once they remove the word “negro”, I’ll be straight. They just don’t get it; OBAMMA IS PRESIDENT, DONT BE MAD NOW. :)

    Negro means black in spanish & that’s where the word comes from. I’m black & dont see it as derogatory although id prefer to just be called black.
