@TIMEOUT I can understand why you said that he does that Lil Wayne laugh a lot idk why rappers don’t realize how annoying that is. That being said after listening to the entire thing I have to say it was pretty dope had its ups and downs but overall it was good. J. Ferb was good, but the beat/instrumentals alone could get me to listen to this mixtape.

That song was really nice. I’ll check the project out. Any other tracks I should check out that are produced by $port, I think this is my first time hearing of him.
dude is nice, just peeped his tape out on Bandcamp… only advice I have is switch it up a little more… too much of one thing is never good… I like his flow & his voice, but it can get a little boring… maybe it’s just be? keep it up though Ferb cuz you got what it takes

Check out a joint called “Goodwill Hunting (RZA 94 Dreams)” on Theo Martins/ $port mixtape EP called “You Can’t Do That On Television”. The production on that is one of my favorites ever. Love that beat.
“Away with Me” is my personal favorite, whole thing is sick tho.

I think this mixtape is the best music I’ve heard from an unknown artist in a long time. Ferb would go perfectly with some Blu and Fashawn.

Production is good, on some subtle jazzy shit and nothing gets too hyped. Its fine as to hold down his rhymes but nothing jumps at you if taken separately. He good with his delivery but flow feels like a put-on between Maino & Lil Wayne. And he got good lyrics but once again it feels he tryna too hard to impress with vocabulary. Songs are good nuthin is bad but with no stand out elements (hooks are weak) it never steps outside average. Good for one-off listen!
Still listening so I aint get through the whole thing — cat can spit — How is he trying to hard with the vocabulary ? because he is using wordplay ? stuff is ill, doesn’t remind me of Wayne, I would say Kendrick Lamar if comparing — production is tight – I don’t feel anything is forced, pure material — respect.

Got about halfway through the tape last night and I liked what I’ve heard this far. I like how he has this, almost stream of consciousness flow going. It’s a dope project. I’m excited to see if he takes what he has learned from this release and applies it to his next project. I have a feeling he’ll be laser precise. I saw I the c section that he would go well with Fashawn and I would have to agree. With ferb being from the new lyricly inclined south, I’d like to see what he and J.Cole would do on a track together.
Oh and the artwork is very dope as well.
honestly his flow is a little boring. and the beat is too calm for him it sounds like he is trying to hold back. if he were to choose different beats he’d be able to go in waaaaaaaaaay harder.

oh, it will grow on you. jazzy, flow is good and mature, but maybe not always smooth. but you can feel that there is still a lot of grow in front of this artist and it makes me want to follow his new work…
this dude is HOT! ALL around. The production is amazing AND the dude is actually spitting conscious material with content. It would be FOOLISH for the industry not to grab this individual.
