A track that didn’t make the final cut of Hudson’s Straight No Chaser, here’s a solo version of Jay and Hudson’s Blueprint 3 cut, courtesy of TS.

  1. yes. much better than the version with jay.

  2. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst, yeah this version is better

  3. I hate this song so much. the version with jay is better tho.

  4. Better than the Jay version, only because on Hov’s album it came off really corny.

  5. that^^^^^

  6. The song is OK, but what kills it (in a bad way) is the “snare drum”. It sounds like static.

  7. wait.. its better because its not the one on hovs album? lol thats the dumbest shit ive heard. so if the hov song came out, not on the album, just randomly. youd like it more?

  8. sometimes crossovers are unnecessary.. especially when they are 80s pop remakes

  9. Whether you’re coolin on the corner with your fly bitch
laid back in the shack, play this track.

  10. @word

No, what i meant was, when a 40 year old man who never makes songs like this goes out of his way to make this type of song, it comes off corny. The fact that Hov was on it period, ruined it.

  11. this song sucks just as much as the original (sampled? borrowed?) “forever young.”

except they added a ghey snare and somewhat tastefully autotuned sting-lite.

which really kind of makes it suck more.

i guess +1 for not having to hear hov.

  12. Hov haters in full effect today! I like em both, FTW. Is Mr. Hudson’s album not being released in the US?

  13. Still hov day nigga, go play nigga

  14. hudson shudda put it on his album
damn he always seems to make songs good wen there not his own.

  15. really surprised not many know about this…german rapper Bushido dropped the same track as jay on his album a year before BP3, check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YILBP7bnRMk

fur immer jung means for ever young if u havent figured that out…

  16. Ladys, they pay homage but haters say Jay fell off
How nigga? My last album was Blueprint 3.

  17. That was really nothing special all it was is the regular hook with him singing a couple bars. I don’t see how it’s so much better it’s almost exactly the same. lol

  18. @Rezo they say its better because it doesn’t have Jay forcing himself upon a song which he never should have been on. I

  19. fuck this shit

  20. fuck yall closed mind niggas jay can get on write make whatever kind of song he wants like he gotta rap about coke, money and bitches all the time

  21. i like both version, and i can see why he wouldn’t want this on his album, being a remake and all

  22. is straight no chaser ever coming to the U.S??

  23. sample is beautiful but the beat is so dam weak, this synth is awful really

  24. @Doc, i think straight no chaser already came to the U.S., if not, you can torrent it, that’s how i got it.

i fuck with this song, i love the sample they used but Ye should have used another drum instead of the snare

  25. im diggin this version more than the one with jay

  26. thank god ive been waiting for this forever

  27. I dig both versions & it’s funny how a lot of ya’ll say Jay’s version was wack when it was 1 of the best tracks on the album! Everyone can relate to it so much to because when we all get older we wish we where “Forever Young” By the way what’s up with the US release of Mr. Hudson’s album?

  28. “except they added a ghey snare and somewhat tastefully autotuned sting-lite.

which really kind of makes it suck more.”

Mr Hudson’s straight No Chaser is my sh*t. It’s a great album you should check it out.

  29. this song blows n ur a faggot if u listen to it more than once

  30. ^^^^Stfu…

  31. i suck major cocks! :-)

  32. yeah this song is way better with jay-z its way more chill this shoulda been released not the other one just saying jay-z woulda never made a song like this in his prime old artist trying to stay relevant by making a song that they would stand out on =EPIC FAIL

  33. Where’s that mastered Big Sean track?

  34. both of the version are down as f**k they are both chill Jay-Z is a sic rapper and Mr.hudson is a sic singer wen they come makes perfect melody to your ears thats why rappers that sing are big (kanye, kid cudi, B.o.B,Drake etc)
