Blu rapping about life and daily struggles is the only blu i like. Alot of rappers do braggadacio rap about nothing in particular better than blu, no one does substance like him though. He needs to get back on his poetic shit, with exile behind the boards, they compliment each other better than anyone duo in the game… and below the heavens is the best hip hop album i’ve heard and i’m seriously not new to hip hop.

i ain’t want to add more shit to this, but…blu’s versatile as fuck. cats are only referencing BTH, which is a classic, but that was his soulful, “conscious” shit. that c.r.a.c. joint with ta’raach was a little too leftfield for most muhfuckas, but he proved he can go in on some abstract shit (though there were some hard bangers on there too). and he killed it on the lyrical tip on johnson&jonson, completely dumbing out on that first joint and then going for the heart with the last song, “hold on” with the john lennon sample. if he wanted to, he could be your favorite rapper. instead, he just does himself without a fuck about the criticism.
