Pete Rock On Working w/ Kanye West x Wanting to Work w/ Jay-Z & Eminem (Video)

During Pete Rock’s sit down with Peter Rosenberg for the latest installment of Noisemakers, Pete Rock reveals that he is working with Kanye on his new album. He also expresses his thoughts on Renegade, how he would love to work with Eminem in the future and how he sent this beat to Hov, but it was never used. Damn… the full session can be viewed after the jump.

Shouts to Dre on the heads up.

  17. Lol @ burd…of course Jay doesn’t take a Pete Rock beat, its got too much soul for the “god mc”

  18. ehhh I cant see Jay on that beat

  19. Can’t see Jay on any Pete Rock beat…Pete Rock’s shit is tailor made for Common, Mos Def, Kanye, or any conscious (or unconscious) underground rapper that makes songs with soul/meaning to it

  20. i swear jay has passed on every beat in history

  21. you say that jay doesn’t get on beats with soul? have you heard heart of the city? or hard knock life?

  22. @Jonnie

No beats with soul? have you listened to The Blueprint?

  23. is “Good Ass Job” the actual name of the album, or is it just a tentative title?

    ==================================================

Big Sean called it that on Twitter so theoretically it could not be true cuz I never heard Kanye say it but I figure Sean knows the name.

  24. Ok I didn’t think too hard b4 I typed that up,,Pete Rock’s soul beats have a lil more jazz to them, Kanye’s soul beats usually have sampled vocals to bring that feeling…I guess Thank You produced by Kanye & No I.D. could be the closest to a Pete Rock beat

  25. This needs to come out now…

  26. cant waiiitt to Hear that next Ye album..
it wont be named Good Ass Job..
    i dnt think so

  27. Ye’s been saying the name for years. It was supposed to originally be CD, LR, GRAD, then A Good Ass Job. But his breakup and mother’s passing (RIP) threw a wrench in the works and brought us.. 808s.

  28. okay then !!

  29. never been so hyped for an album to drop !!___________

  30. Don`t count your eggs too soon. The line-up of producers sound good. The last time we`ve seen that line-up was “Illmatic” and remember how that did. Mainstream might not except it as much as the true hip hop heads will love it.It just might be a classic album, but the hype might not live up to the idea.

  31. Theses albums are going 2 be classic!!….i can see it…..Yo but if any artist need beats holla at me soundclick.com/dollarsproductions
