Drake – Fireworks Live (Video)

As he told MTV, Drake performs a new cut off Thank Me Later while at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Based on the opening lines this will be the first track on the album, as he previously stated TML begins where Fear ended. UPDATE: The TS boys found an alternative view (shown after the jump).

  1. I guess this’ll be the first track since “money changes everything” is the first line.

  9. Oh what’s this? Another Drake song with him talking about how money changed everything? And how the haters are all around but he stays above them?

    Jimmy, you’re redefining original.

  11. Epic.

*patiently waits for the studio version to drop and the usual haters to hate.

  12. beat is so sick. the mastered version may be one of the sickest beats ever.

  13. @killa
that shit’s always been stupid to me. whats the point of having a shitty video with shitty sound quality on a shitty small screen? keep your ticket stub or take a picture. That cell phone camcorder shit only makes some sense to me if the performance is also hella visual

  14. it actually sounds really good. haha, i support u aubrey graham, i support you

  15. …and @PUNCHYOFACEIN
you realize the mason is an actual name right? and that masons are builders who work with rock and minerals, like brick, concrete, marble, etc.?

  16. @Silence thats what they want u to think… thats what they want u to think… *cracks knuckles*

  17. am i the only one that hates when niggas nowadays say similes and just completely forgo using “like” or “as”… Like in the hook he goes “This time im really goin off, Fireworks..” idk who started that trend but its just wack in my opinion

I hope you’re not serious. Sarcasm is kinda hard to express in text i suppose

  21. Lol @ Bust a nut..cosignature

  22. @…

Big Sean’s original ‘Supa Dupa’ was the first time I heard it, I dont have much of a problem with it though as much as i do with rappers biting the shit *cough drake *cough kanye.

  23. ^^^^^^^^^^^
At least Kanye only did it for one song, Drake has made almost all his songs/verses post So Far Gone doing that shit. Oh and you should really blame it on Wayne, he was doing that shit back on Tha Carter II, just not as blatant as its gotten recently.

  24. It’s called an Elongated pause, and it’s been around for quite a while. I remember Jay-Z doing it on a song on Vol. 3. I can’t remember exactly right now though.

But my theory is Big Sean brought it into modern popularity, because Kanye used it on GOOD LIFE. Now either it’s Kanye’s thing, or he was influenced by Big Sean (who was signed to G.O.O.D during that time) and he used it.

Big Sean is most known for using it with the SUPA DUPA style, and then ‘Ye and Drake went on to popularize it even more in their records in the past year. Now it seems a lot of people are doing it.

It’s not really a big deal. They just stopped using like or as, which can get just as mundane and redundant as well.

People complain about the stupidest things nowadays.

  25. ^^^^^ the truth

  26. drake is the new ricky martin

  27. You niggas are fucking stupid on here. How can you say it’s dope and the beat is sick? Do you have some kind of special effects hearing that every other human being wasn’t born with? lol All you can hear is drake distorted and a bunch of loud distorted bass so shut the fuck up with the dick riding comments. Wait until you can actually hear the damn song and beat then give your opinion on it. Smh…

  28. chris = failed

    first off u werent first

second, u cant even hear shit but a bunch of distorted bullshit so clearly ur a male drake groupie faggot

  29. his album will be good and it will sell good, only adjustment he needs to make is to leave Young Money ASAP!

  30. better than that new b.o.b. song

  31. Sounds really good but I must hear the whole song.

  32. @ fulltimeboss, drake gropie faggots? wow haters will hate right? i mean we dont call you j.cole, charles hamilton dickriders do we? no so get a life and stop hating over the internet, i mean you clicked the link cuhs you wanted to hear the song right? hmmmmm juss sayyin.

  33. Follow ! > http://WhoisGSX.com

  34. Sounds like it should be good when the mp3 drops so I’ll wait for the whole song to leak.

  35. My 15 minutes started an hour ago. dope.

  36. Not a big fan of Drake, actually hate most of his songs, but this I can truely fcuk with. Make a few more songs like this I might give him that 25 cent royalty of an album sale…

  37. THE JUSTICE LEAGUE IS ON THE ALBUM , THA BIZNESS IS ON THE ALBUM

thats all i know 100% proof

  38. “I had a talk with my mom the other night. She said what chu gonna do when you get out there? I said im a muh-fuggin kill em ni*ga”

    lol

  39. big sean didnt start that style of rhgyming at all better yet make it big

i can name a couple of rappers from the south that were already on it

  40. @black – who?

  41. Let the over hypin begin!

  42. what a cornball, can’t believe this is what the hype machine is pushing

  43. Let the over hypin begin! Smfh

  44. I was there!

  45. Oh yea & drake really needs to stop rappin like he’s a underdog nigga u got the ladies & the crackas on your side your gonna sell buddy bcuz they the main ones that buy the albums.

  46. drake is great but he might run out of things to talk about. There a pattern in all of his songs. Talk about how money change people. How people hate him. How people around him are fake. How he is the underdog^^^^^. Someone giving him advice. blah blah.

  47. this songs produced by a guy named crada, same guy who produced the lupe and bob song off of adventures of bob

  48. @far lololol i curse at my motherfuckin mom and call her a n1gga too…lolol

dope… drake is lyrical and NOT boring. lookin forward to it…

  49. Drake is gettin a little boring his rhythms are very predictable you know wats comin from him. Thats why idont really listen to him like that (Usain Bolt runs away 4rm drake groupies duckin lol)

  50. i like the line about him and waynes relationship. because he just as big as wayne now, and going to be bigger…. if he gets more topics and gets back to spitting again.

  51. “what a cornball, can’t believe this is what the hype machine is pushing”

And by commenting on everything related to Drake, you’re contributing to this “hype machine”. Good job.

  52. Please Kill urself or listen to more hip hop if you believe Big Sean invented ANYTHING, let alone a rapping style. and i like Big Sean so its no hate, but honestly I’ve been hearing Juelz Santana Do that forever, and he wasn’t the first.

  53. fuck you W.H.

lmao at people saying the beat is fresh…. all u hearing is bass…let me know what yall hearing lmao

  54. i agree with PURP, Cam’ron was doing this for the longest, since maybe 2001 atleast, and many more people have used it way before Big Sean was thought of, its just way over used, and all drake can talk about is money changing everything cause he always had money, its gon be like listening to someones second album

  55. any predictions on when the mp3 will leak?

  56. I BET A LONG TIME^^^BEcasue hes only singing this at concerts ;/

  57. love him, but all of his shit is about the same few things. hes gunna lose his fans real quick.

  58. Drake called his mom a nigga?

  59. this song sounds real dope. cant wait to hear cdq. i almost lost faith in this album after over which was dope but just seemed like it wouldnt belong in it and shut it down which was also dope but idk something was off with it like they let the track breathe too much. either way im glad that pretty much everything thats supposed to be on the album sounds so far goneish and not like his new ym stuff

  60. I like Drake and all, but I agree with snagz. You can’t hear shit here, so how are people saying that this song is dope already?

  61. This “sounds” terrible I need the real version to judge.Drake took awhile to grow on me so I hope his record is dope and not repetitive and boring.

  63. my boy CRADA (CuDi’s “Hyyerr” or D-Block’s “Get That Paper”) was on the boards for “Fireworks”… and believe me: it’s a really good song. this youtube clip is NOTHING compared to pumping the song on your home or car stereo
