Good stuff, I’m a fan of the production on the song its got a cool feeling to it. I hadn’t heard this for some reason or I skimmed over it if it was on an old mixtape.
Yeah, I can hear the difference quite clearly. The background vocals are a lot clearer than they were on the mixtape and it generally sounds a lot better.

It’s nothing personal I am just being honest but he isn’t the only one. Almost every “new” rapper is going to flop these days. If you didn’t establish your name years ago you’re not going to sell a lot of records as a new artist unless you have a super buzz like Drake. The new generation of hip hop fans say 13-21 year olds they don’t buy albums they download maybe a single they like off itunes and then maybe later download the album for free. Some people said Cudi flopped but he sold 104k first week I don’t know how but he did. I mean 104k today for a “new” rapper is like selling 400-500k first week 8 years ago.

i don’t like this original version personally. check the remix that hudson mohawke did to this song on the ATL REMIX mixtape. that version goes in really hard and technical sonically.

There is no doubting that a preconceived bias exists towards B.O.B. music. If people heard this before they knew it was a B.O.B track – and it was made by someone with the last name Marley – I don’t think people would bash it nearly as much.
