Big Sean Live @ XXL Showcase (Video)

Thanks to the fuckery that surrounded enveloped me as soon as I got to the Highline Ballroom last night, I went to this event and stayed for all of an hour. But I did manage to catch Big Sean perform “Supa Dupa Lemonade” and a new track – titled “Fuck You Doin’ (Bullshit)” – right before I stepped out the door. Props to Potential for the footage.

  1. What happend with you?

  2. So like so so so cute. Big Sean needs to stop copying Ye and Lupe tho. Like i really dont like that about it. u kno doesnt strike me as sum1 u cant like have a trusting relationship with. I like sum of his songs tho. xx

  3. Dope song
    Fuck You Doin’ Bullshit!!!!!!

  4. It’s really wack to do shows peforming remixes to another rappers song. I’m really tired of rappers doing that shit and that’s why there is so many wack ass rappers squeezing through the cracks now. There is no limits to anything. Whether it’s the internet or shows it seems anybody that ‘thinks’ they can rap has an avenue to take. Too many wack rappers make an underground ‘career’ off of just rapping over other rappers beats and I think that’s some bullshit. There is nothing creative about that because all they do is use the same concept and just change the words. They just ‘freestyle’ for a couple minutes over the beat and call it a song. The hardest part about making your OWN song is creating the concept for the song and writing a hook. 95% of these “dope” mixtape rappers have no idea how to write a song or a hook. Get your own production, your own style, your own flow, your own concepts, and most importantly stay in your own lane. If they made the standards harder for a rapper to make money the hiphop game as a whole would get a lot better musically. Right now for every dope song that drops there is 50 wack songs that also drop. Right now for every dope rapper there is 200 wack rappers. It’s a god damn shame and somebody needs to do something.

  5. WHEN IS HIS NEW MIXTAPE TAPE DROPING? It been for ever, i thought it was dropping soon. but hope it drops soon cause i want new BIG SEAN ;]

  6. Good song

  7. ^^ Pause @ SOLO lol

  8. Damn Snagz swear u be over critical when it comes to hip hop, artists doin remixes isn’t that big of a deal,,all they’re doin showing that they can spit better than the original artist on their own shit

  9. mixtape comin soon a fellow kliver
“I went to the show last night in ann arbor and got the chance to meet sean after the show, really awesome guy, stayed after and signed autographs until security told him to leave. Anyways, I told him I was anxious for the mixtape and he told me that it was done and that it was coming soon.”

Now the real news, im sorry if this was posted but…

  10. yo this show was live. Sean helped set it off

  11. @JonnieHayward there is nothing creative about that, who cares if they can spit? If I can dunk better than Kobe does that mean I am more talented or a better player? There is more to being a real artist other than flow. If you don’t have the talent to write your own 3 verse songs w/ hook than sorry your a minor leaguer. The mixtape game is like And1 basketball in a lot of ways. The And1 ballers are flashy but do they have the talent to make it in the NBA? Nope! Mixtape rappers might have a better flow or more “swag” but do they have the talent to be considered real hiphop artist? Nope! Get me?

  12. @Snagz…When it comes to mixtape tracks creativity isn’t the rappers main focus,,I’m pretty sure Big Sean can write 3 verses and a hook but he can save that for the album,,if he chooses to do 1 verse no hook straight spittin then he can, doesn’t make him any less of a rapper…now if he does that shit on a album then its a different story…mixtapes are only intended these days to give u a preview of what the artist can do and basically show u his rappin skills, not songwriting skills

  13. Check out STS – “I Am The A” on his new mixtape that just dropped.

STS rappin over this beat > Big Sean rappin over this beat.

  14. @Solo, i met big sean the other night in ann arbor, he told me the mixtape is done and that its coming out real soon. oh yeah and there is this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Rna2ip0lEfY/S7PgHiuxxZI/AAAAAAAAItk/MwiGzCyvTnY/s1600/finally-famous-volume-3-promo.jpg

Shake or Meka should post that…

  15. and @snagz, you act like gucci had a real concept with the song…

  16. That new track is fine as hell.

  17. @JonnieHayward that’s exactly my point if your only a ‘mixtape rapper’ with freestyles or 2 verse ‘songs’ to your resume you shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a show. The stage and shows use to mean something now they have no value. Artist use to have the drive to be creative and to be the best to get to that level. Now all they need is to remix another rappers creation and have a cool image to get to that level. That’s why hiphop is a joke now none of these rappers have to earn anything.

  18. i want tht new track daz gne be my summer rollin shit!! fuck you doin??Bullshittin!…haha my niggas say tht all the time. this song is perfect fo da squad.

  19. cannot wait for goodass job and finally famous
    check http://ineedm0ney.wordpress.com

  20. @snagz he’s not a mixtape rapper he has a album due

  21. I still don’t get it. He got a little “hey girl” in his voice and his flow sounds the same as my little cousin’s…who is 8…and a girl…

  22. @Snagz, he definitely has full songs of his own on all of his mixtapes theres a good portion of original songs, he just did this for fun, and probably wouldnt be performing it live if it hadnt blown up the way it did, this song hada huge response n hes probably just doin it cuz its a fan fav.

  23. Yeah, Snagz is definitely lost in the sauce on how things works.

Supa Dupa Lemonade became arguably one of Big Sean’s biggest joints. He’s the second rapper people equate with that beat, other than Gucci. But for someone like me, I had never even heard the Gucci version until AFTER Sean did it, cuz I wasn’t looking for it.

  24. Tracks are dope, BUT IT IS WACK AS FUCK THAT HE’S RAPPING OVER HIS OWN LYRICS…BOO.

  25. I can’t wait for Finally Famous 3 to drop it’s gonna be fire. @Snagz Big sean did this song because he didn’t do a song in a while so he thought it would be better to just do a freestyle over the hottest beat in the game at that moment and it was “Lemonade”

  26. my problem with sean dude needs to work on his delivery and drop more music other then that he’s alright
still j.cole leading the class right now these freshmen better step up lol

  27. there good MARSHALL. big sean is a beast. hate if you want.

  28. shut the fuck up @Snagz y u on your computer hatin? i bet you broke as fuck tryna get introspective on niggas that will pull up to your bitch crib in a range.

  29. he’s not bad, his punches are strong – but i gotta ask: no one else hears a totally weezy style to his flow and even his voice in the background track?

  30. my bad – that was in reference to “bullshittin”
