Damian Marley – It Was Written x Still Searchin’ (Video)

In the midst of all the buzz surrounding the upcoming Damian Marley x NaS project, reggae label VP Records have unearthed two rare videos from Damian Marley’s 2001 Halfway Tree: Still Searchin’ and the classic It Was Written f. Stephen Marley & Capleton. Fortunately for us, they’ve gotten rid of Drag-on’s horrible verse and attempt at patois. The video for Still Searchin’ after the jump.

  1. It was written is my shit. We used to blast halfway tree over the system in the Jarman I worked at as a kid. Damn didnt know people hated that drag verse though. Anyay, great post!

  2. I liked the Drag-On verse, but either way the song and the Halway Tree album are classic.

  5. I will say that It Was Written is the type of song that shows that Damian is on a level that very few artists reach.

  6. This song is classic. tgh i didnt mind the drag on verse. it was wat it was damien had him on there for a reason. damien is so raw and dragon tho not my favourite is about as grime as u can get n kinda reflects the raw music ethos of damien marly. and capelton as always >>>>>>.

  7. funny thing is they say they “unearthed” these rare videos, but in reality they’ve been on youtube for years. haha
