I’m confused since I’m only familiar with Aloe Blacc from this song and Fashawn’s album…is he the one actually singing on “I Need a Dollar”?
yep.
wow ok, good to hear somebody sing with some soul.
I need this. HTMIIA also needs to be an hour long.
dope ass song
Garbage. I could pleasure myself with a wrench and it’d sound better than this.
It also happens to be the theme song to my life.
Can’t believe this guy used to be a backpack rapper from Orange County.
@ John Brown
You a faggot by any chance?
nice, dope…i was thinkin he has a very ny vibe to him
(2)dope
songs dope. can’t believe someone does’nt like this, but to each his own. i swear some people just live to hate/be angry. think i’m done reading comments and commenting.
the song playing in the beginning!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
shit sounded (2)dope!!!
Aloe’s a vet man… He’s put out a solo album of soul shit yeeeears ago on Stones Throw, and he did a rap album produced by Exile called Emanon. Don’t sleep.
Aloe is the reason Blu & Exile ever collaborated!
Enjay I thought Exile/Aloe were a group called Emanon?
I need a dollar? A day late & a dollar short? Similar? I’ve watched Aloe steal ideas for 10 years now. Surprised he’s still jacking Blu lol.
On top of which this guy is terrible. Can’t rap or sing.0
Haters are in full effect I see…
That’s sad. Anyways, this is one of the best songs out right now, and theme for one of the best shows out right now. I’m looking forward to the video.
The song is very relatable. I’m sure no “stealing” was involved, but if it sounds similar to something, it’s because it’s the story of common human beings everyday. Blu’s “Blu Colla Worker” joint and most of the joints on “Below The Heavens” was about that, so (I don’t even know why I’m trying to speak logically to someone who obviously was just blindly hating), but if they did bounce some ideas off of each other, then that’s find too. They obviously worked together and apparently Aloe was the reason Blu connected with Exile in the first place.
But I was under the impression this song had already been out for some years or so, and then HBO decided to pick it up for their show.
One of my all time favorite tracks.
dope
who got this beeeaaat??? lookin all over for it and cant find it..
