Rhymefest Makes A Wish (Video)

I really wish I saw things like this more often, but I guess only people who support “sewer rappers” will document this part of the culture:

When the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants cancer survivor Robert Bates one wish, he asks for Rhymefest to perform a private concert for his family and friends. But things get awkward when nobody remembers to book a DJ.

  1. What is a “sewer rapper”

    Crazy things
I go to college with Rob Bates, he wasn’t “forced” to do anything, he makes beats and he’s niiice.
    Check him out http://therobbates.com/blog/

  2. Very interesting video, we need more of this.

  3. The rob bates in the video was hell of young. Either this was years ago or that’s another rob bates. On that note, that robbate.com is sweet. They’ve got a nice Jay Elec interview inclduded.

As for the video I hate the voice effect, stupid.

  4. its probably fake, but still a nice video.

  5. That shit is fake, no joke

  6. On another note, I gave Rhymefest’s DJ a ride to their show during SXSW … crazy story. They cool cats though.

  7. that damn voice modulator had me thinking something was gonna go seriously wrong somewhere at that party… turned out to be a very nice video though

  8. what the fuck was the point of this?

  9. i fuck with ‘fest… his album wasnt bad either… i co-sign him and whatever he does

  10. Yeah, this kid also competed at the Red Bull Big Tune Battle a few years back. Not saying it wasn’t a nice gesture, but to create a situation in where he’s “never been behind turn tables” is skeptical.

I don’t know if Rhymefest is trying to pull a fast one on his fans, but I don’t see the significance of this video.

  11. I’d fuck fest, thats for sure

  12. its not like the video had a date explained, ya’ll just be presuming and assuming with only what you see. dope video.

  13. ha ha ha, super fake, but really funny. The moment the dolphin’s eyes were censored you know had to be a joke.

  14. Rhymefest.

  15. Well I don’t think the actual show is fake you know with the kid but that’s pretty damn cool
