What are y’all thoughts on Diggy at this point? I enjoyed the Made U Look freestyle and this is cool. The mixtape he released was sub-bar to say the least though.

Kid rubs me the wrong way and call me a hater if you want, but he doesn’t deserve the recognition or record deal. The only reason his shit sounds good is because he has money to drop on studio time and a good engineer and I wonder where that money came from…

@ I got every reason to believe this kid wrote the rhymes himself. I had a big vocab at his age. Diggy’s probably got the best education money can buy and has literally been raised up in the music industry, so if there was an environment for creating a good child rapper, this should be it. When ppl complain that he only put out one mixtape and a video, they’re not saying that putting out 30 mixtapes makes you hot. All they’re saying is that alot of MCs (with alot more talent than Diggy) spend years trying to get recognized. It’s a rough ass game. You could be the nicest MC in the world and it might still take you a few years to generate a significant buzz, let alone get a record deal. In Diggy’s case, he only got signed so quickly because he was already in a prominent position. He didn’t have to pay his dues, therefore ppl hate. Very simple.
