Diamond District x SXSW (Video)

I actually missed their performances during SXSW, so at the very least this is a form of consolation prize from RIchard Parker. Much better than the massive head cold I got courtesy of Mother Nature dropping Texas’ temperature nearly 30 degrees in less than 24 hours.

  8. @Kareem and the Black Moon reference- wise words never spoken!!! I felt the same way I felt when I heard “Enta Da Stage” for the first time when I popped In The Ruff in my CD player for the first time – Perfect comparison!!! Makes since because in DC in the Mid 90′s we were all on some Boot Camp Clikk shit in DC hip hop wise and hell – That’s all the Go-Go bands used to cover (It’s a damn shame many DC brothas don’t know many of there favorite GO-Go joints of the 90s where Black Moon – BCC covers. When they hear backyard going “Home of the Originoo Gun Clappaz – Hobart NIGGA!!”, that that line came from a Smiff and Wessun joint!). They captured the whole steez of the Black Moon on In The Ruff.

  9. @ Ryuk – XXL only puts solo rappers in their Freshman issue. No groups, hence why Tanya Morgan never makes the cut and no rappers who also produce, hence why Black Milk is denied as well. A double strike against Diamond District…
