A few months ago I made a post on how it was coming back (for the Wii, natch), and now here’s the official trailer for the game. No release date yet, but hopefully it’ll drop on all platforms.

  3. The original ones on the Super Nintendo and Sega were the best! I always wondered why Jordan wasn’t in them though. Good thing I got a Wii. Haven’t picked up any games for in in awhile so I hope that this new NBA Jam is good.

  7. Since this is obviously sanctioned / licensed by the NBA I can’t wait to see the commercials for it at some point. Looks fun, I’ll cop it but hopefully I can get it on PS3 instead of just Wii.

    Jordan wasn’t ever licensed except on his own as a brand. You had to get Michael Jordan’s video game to play as him … saving Chicago. I remember the first NBA Live with Jordan I used to love matching up him & Kobe or KG.

  21. what Nintendo needs to do, before this drops, is release the Original and Tournament Edition via Virtual Console. This will without a doubt strike up some interest in the new game for those that were still spermies when the originals came out. Plus, for the price of 8 bucks (what SNES games go for on the Virtual Console), it would be a hell of a deal.

  22. 1/2 Man and Superman 2.0 will ruin that shit. VC is a bit old now, but they’ll still give that him credit from 2000-04. Dwight is a straight beast and the game will reflect that. I wonder who will be the announcer and the colour analyst? Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller would be great. “Click click Dwayne” and “LeBron James! With no regard for human life!” were classic.

  26. actually, thinkin bout this game had me on a trip down memory lane…thinkin bout all the older arcade style sports games. NBA Street n Street 2 were ill. NFL Blitz was a fuckton of fun too. Really, i enjoy playin shit like that more then sim type games. On a day to day level, those games were much more fun from a pick up n play perspective. Good stuff. Can not wait for this shit.
