Murs & 9th Wonder – I Used to Love H.E.R. Preview (Video)

Considering Murs was never too happy about how the West Coast was only portrayed in one view (gangsta) on Common’s original classic, he and 9th Wonder decided to remake it. Check a preview of the song in the clip above that the homie Styles shot during the Murs & 9th Wonder listening party. I’ve also included some shots below. Shouts to Cashmere and the always lovely Kristen.

Murs & 9th Wonder’s Fornever drops March 30th!

  1. Don’t know how I feel about this….

  2. where the hoes at? btw… off brea? at the vintage rip off spot for sausage fest 2010

  3. why bishop dressed up like he an extra in a charlie chaplin movie…

  4. i love murs but does he understand the era in which the song was made…all the west was back in the day was gangsta. its not how it is now with some many different types of hip hop. i used to love h.e.r. is a classic song.

  5. Regardless, for those of us who are on the west know the current situation of the west. It’s those who reside in other areas of the country who still have the wrong idea. I think the song is just right. Murs rarely does wrong in my opinion. Smart dude.

  6. west coast hip hop existed in underground… that was my shit!!! my man bigga b r.i.p. was the one who had unity going… he would be active in bringing tha liks, xzibit, dilated peoples, j5, as well as east coast acts on loud… the wu, mobb deep, pun…. he was the reason j rocc and babu were the bum rush bros… because they used to bust a set and bounce without bigga b knowing. he never liked them because he didnt like the whole snobby “cerritos” kids. then again the beat junkies became the biggest dj crew eventually. bigga b made the biggest impact on west coast “hip hop” in the 90s… don’t believe me, then why does xzibit got his name tatted on him.

  7. That Problem Is record is ill. Been bumpin it constantly.

  8. He’s a talented artist but not nearly talented enough to remake such a classic and pull it off, I Used To Love H.E.R was perfect and somebody already explained how the West Coast was manly gangster at the time

  9. Murs is horrible. Sucks bad.

  10. i like the song, great tribute to a classic. the last verse is on point
