c’mon now, people pay way too much attention to dumb things. the girls are fine, sorry they have flaws like everybody

  14. chad said this on March 5th, 2010 at 3:00 pm <<ahh well. i say u start a petition for darkskinnded video girls so they too can make it as the main video girl so our little brown girls of america too can have a role model and aspire one day to shake shake shake it for rick ross, plies..hell if equality is really reached maby even diddy. God bless america.

  15. Its not presented as a flaw…its presented as something I as a black woman should aspire to have. But you are right as a woman I don’t want to put down other woman. I can understand the beauty of all races but this shit is just annoying.

Its not about wanting to be a video girl…I study economics and will be going to grad school…don’t really care if these ladies want to make some money for themselves…Its just that these images seep into our communities and I am seeing the effects of it in black men.

    Just my two cents.

  16. And one more thing: I am a hip hop head. Im the sista that will be one of the only females in a Wu show, boot camp click, Mos Def, Pac DiV, ect. Im the sister in the cypher or chilling with the bboys and bgirls.

Its crazy that woman are expected to support these artist. Women of all shades and races but have to put up with a constant disrespect or objectification. It is nasty. This is not to down U-N-I I dig their music, but to question the role of woman as a whole in hip hop and on this site.

  18. The one on the left

  19. idk what it is with black women and how they hate on video girls now. im not sayin u are necessarily but i feel like every time theres a light skin girl in a video, black women freak out. its a little closed minded to think that just because its rap video theres supposed to be only black people in there. or that since the artists are black theyre supposed to prefer black women. before people used to cry foul whenever a black girl was in a video because they were being “objectified”, now it seems when theyre not in the videos the artists dont want them there or something. idk i just think that hip hop/rap is a universal thing and anyone of any race can participate, so yea

  20. I hate this to be about the “video girl” and color complex issue but videos are aspirational…they document the life that people are told to want. A manufactured want…..There are NO fully black woman in most of these videos. It sends the signal that we are not worth anything…All artist have the best brands, cars, houses, in their video and it is sad but the “best” woman are shown as woman with prominante non black features.

I don’t expect you to understand. But try to imagine every time you look at a media piece you are being told that you are not enough or beautiful or worth as much as another person. It may seem trivial to you but women internalize this shit. And men do to which is why most men that I see that identify with this culutre in hip hop don’t dig black women as much.

and miguel sounds beautiful on the trak :)

  21. i guess niggas don’t like black girls no mo

  22. There’s a variety of girls in the video, multicultural. All the girls in the video are beautiful. There wasn’t any cuts, we used the girls that were willing to be good sports. It was a great 2 days of shooting, all positivity.

    Fredo-Aplus

  23. I’d bang them all with no rubber…skeet skeet skeet

  24. bad bitches!!!

  25. I can show you plenty of rap videos with dark-skinned girls if you want… >.>

  26. The video preview image is funny, one is face palming and the other is like wtf?
